I was looking through this week's lineup and I noticed someone, Todd I believe put in a waiver request for James Jones, WR, Green Bay, when he is already on Cheryl's roster.

Yup.  I drafted him.  (Do I hear a trade offer, Todd?)  ;D

Thanks Jim. I already caught that and ignored it on the spreadsheet for Steg.

Also, thanks to Gene and Ray for the detailed comments regarding the trade and FA pickups. They helped sort out a confusing situation.

Please, everyone, make liberal use of that comments box any time you think that something could be the least bit confusing. It helps!

Thanks for taking care of that Philly.

Hey Steg...

I have a question regarding Ray's lineup. Perhaps he explained it to me better than he did in the comments box.

Round 1 FA: Drop Antonio Pittman, Add Kelly Holcomb (since Josh McCown was already taken)

Round 2 FA (Gene's spot): Drop AJ Feeley, Add Sidney Rice

Round 2 FA (Ray's spot): Drop Troy Smith, Add Josh Scobee (you gave him Malcom Floyd).

I thought, from his lineup submission, that it was clear that he wanted to add a kicker as one of his three pickups. He reiterated this point to me in a private message when he learned that I was processing the spreadsheet.

Can you let us know what should happen here?

Whatever...  I have no problem going with that.  I'll change it tonight.  BUT, if you read through what he wrote in the "Comments" section of his lineup and think through the logic of what he says, that is NOT what it says.  If that were the case, strictly speaking, his second conditional either makes no sense at all or is rendered irrelevant by the non-application of the first, depending on the two possible ways of reading it.  Anyway, he gets Scobee with his last/third free-agent pick.  Got it!  I'm glad he clarified it with you beforehand.

Jeff, thanks for the extra effort. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Good work!

But, EVERYBODY, PLEASE also check this against what's up on the "official" "Rosters" page at the league site...  I just fear the potential (negative) consequences (that could occur someday) of our maintaining and, moreover posting, TWO running roster lists.  As long as we do this behind the scenes, Jeff, it's a great check.  But, having two "Rosters" pages, so to speak, if we don't stay on top of it (which we won't do after a while as we get increasingly comfortable), could lead to a problem (not all too dissimilar to the one we ran into with Chumpzilla's free-agent requests this week,... BUT potentially MUCH BIGGER).

Philly and Steg,

Please check my starting lineup again.  I thought I started Drew Brees and Matt Schaub.  JP Losman was my third.  It looks like Brees was deleted.

Thanks.

Steg... it wasn't my intention to keep two running roster lists. This was just for QC in week one. I haven't looked at these spreadsheets or lineups since January so I wanted to ease back into it, and I have way too much going on in my life right now to trust myself as my own proofer. The confusion regarding Ray's transactions further prompted me to post it for everyone to check.

Right you are Gene... I screwed up and missed Brees. I'll resend the spreadsheet first thing tomorrow morning (it's on my work computer). Thanks for keeping me honest here.

Just another heads-up...

I already had Kelly Holcomb (Rob claimed him this week) on my roster from week 1.  I also made a coaching change.  Thanks!!!!!
