Title: Scoring Issue... Post by Philly on Oct 1st, 2003, 6:37pm I was just checking over my Week 3 spreadsheets and noticed that there is an issue with my lineup. During week 3 the Carolina Panthers had a bye. So I put in a free agent request for the Seattle Seahawks, which was successful. If you check my lineup submission form, in the comments section, I stated that I wanted my free agent pick up to start ahead of the Oakland Raiders. Yet the Raiders were the team used for my defensive stats in week 3. Can someone check on this and give me a verdict? I think it may have an effect on scoring and possibly a win/loss. Ugh. |

Title: Re: Scoring Issue... Post by StegRock on Oct 1st, 2003, 8:38pm Fixed! Just thank God it did not change the Week 4 free-agents! That would be a HUGE headache! Anyway, not a big deal this time and I was away vacationing post Week 3, so it was nice not knowing this then, but, please, guys, try to pick this kind of stuff off before the following week begins as it does impact free-agency the following week and that is where the BIG headaches lie. Thank you! [smiley=bow.gif] |

I would have checked earlier, but the scores weren't up when I was free, then I got busy and didn't get a chance until now. Anyway, thanks again. (I was hoping that it would have an effect on me picking up - and starting [smiley=shootmyself.gif] - James Mungro this past weekend... but no such luck.) |

Yeah, at least it didn't cost me a victory... oh wait, it did! Damn you! There I was at 4-4, feelin' pretty good about myself and you had to go and shit on my dreams! [smiley=horse.gif] I'll remeber this Philly... this ain't over, not by a long shot punk! You tell 'em I'm comin' and I'm bringin' hell with me! Title: Re: Scoring Issue... Post by Walker Boh on Oct 17th, 2003, 8:42am I hate to say it, but I think I found some mistakes in the scoring this week. 1. Mile High had a higher completion %, but Tai-ma was given the 4 points 2. Mile High was given 4 points in the 50+ FG category, but the stats show I had no 50+ yard FG's 3. Tai-ma had a better Yards/Rec., but he was given no points for it TIA for checking it out. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |

Title: Re: Scoring Issue... Post by Philly on Oct 17th, 2003, 9:06am There are mistakes in mine as well... My completion % = 60.6 My opponent % = 60.0 He got the points for completion percentage. My receivers = 17 for 185 yards Opponent = 17 for 156 yards No one received points for yards per catch. This won't make a difference between who won and who lost, but the points should change some. |

Title: Re: Scoring Issue... Post by StegRock on Oct 17th, 2003, 1:19pm Too many bakers "cookin'" the books... not you guys. It's just that I needed this, doing and fixing the spreadsheets that is, this week like I needed a fuckin' hole in my head,... besides my mouth and ear holes. [smiley=awwgee.gif] In hindsight, though, I guess it gave me something to divert my mind. :-/ As far as what was wrong this time, it dealt with the upgrades and changes that Jeremy is making combined with my having to do it this week... the old-fashioned way. For a couple reasons, I thought it would not be efficient for me to use the spreadsheet from last year (in hindsight it would have been), so I used Jeremy's... according to the way I "used" to do it. Uh-oh! Some of the cells had been moved around in ways that I did not expect and when I went and moved them back, in the cases when I cut and pasted them, the "reference" cells did not "adjust" as they normally do when you make the change right to the sheet. Anyway, ... "clusterfuck"! :-[ In any case, regarding my spiel at the top, don't get me wrong! You guys NEED to let me/us know when there is a problem regardless of how big or small it is. One point here or there could affect the outcome of a game. That having been said, I do get a kick out of some people (in and/or around the Philadelphia area ;) ) that only point out the errors that favor them. Case in point, as it turned out, the score of Philly's game went unchanged. [smiley=laugh.gif] |

If there were changes to be made to my opponent's (I think it was bgsgfan - still haven't put the team names with the owners) I honestly missed them. I'll admit that I did not look too closely, I just noticed the empty score cell for yards per catch and also was curious how the completion percentage worked when the numbers were off by less than 1 point... Anyway, if he was shorted some points, I'm sure he would have brought them to your attention to, since we're all diligent owners here. [smiley=hellyeafunny.gif] |
