Title: 2003 GBRFL2
Post by The Juror on Dec 30th, 2003, 5:19pm
I just want to say it was nice to get to be involved with the League and I look forward to a long history with the GBRFL2.
Special thanks to Steg and the Monmouth County Court House.
Would love to get together for a brew or 2.  I am in the South Jersey area.

Have a Happy, Healthy New Year to you and your keepers.

Congrats on the win.  Your name will go down in history as the first ever winner of the GBRFL2.  Unfortunately you won't be repeating next year, so enjoy it now.   ::)

Hows about a little more love and respect, at least a sincere and hearty "pat on the back", for the champion of the season that just finished and a little less trash-talkin' about a season almost a year away, moreover, after finishing seventh of ten?  When I saw that post BW made about the cheesiness of KJ 76's congratulating himself on winning his own league, I couldn't have agreed more.  But, if this was the kind of "congrats" you were going to give him, he might as well congratulate himself.  I mean here Keith is not even cashing in on his own trash-talking rights and there are only two "points" to a league of this kind:  trash-talking your opponents with the expectancy of little back talk and receiving "verbal" accolades from your competitors.  I mean, whatever, I just get a ride from dudes who finish behind a dude, in this case particularly poorly, give little to no kudos to the guy, the champ in this case, and still take a moment to trash-talk about what they're gonna do "next year".

Thanks Steg
I think the guys were only kidding if not No Biggie Steg.  Just Barry Sandering it and handing the ball to the official.

I hear ya, Keith.  But, if that's what it's ALL about, why the hell are we even "here"?  At least, that's what I ask myself.  If, at some point, I don't make some real, sincere, substantive "connection"/"expression", what's really the point? [smiley=shrug.gif] Hell, I can joke around with the best of them, you know that, but if I don't eventually get to something meaningful/some meaningful communication...

Congrats on a great season, Keith. It came down to the wire and you pulled off some huge wins down the stretch. With a +323 point differential, you clearly were the strongest team and I bow to your greatness... [smiley=bow.gif]

I hope to give you and the rest of the league a stiffer challenge next year... All I can do is sit here and shake my head...[smiley=no.gif] Did I really draft Tiki Barber over Jamal Lewis? [smiley=shootmyself.gif] Say it ain't so! Say it ain't so! :'(

Thanks Jamie.  Its alot of luck along the way.  Priest Holmes and Fred Taylor stayed healthy and I was lucky in playing the right combo of Garcia/Favre/Kitna on a weekly basis.
I am looking to make a few trade offers.  All players available, for the right price.

Yes, I was only kidding. I did not realize trash talking was not allowed.  ::)

Keith, great job on winning the first ever GBRFL2 championship.  :-*

As a fellow Giants fan I feel your pain.  You think the Jints get the OL from Iowa??

I'd hate to see then grab an OL that early. If they trade down for an extra pick (maybe trade New England the #4 overall for their 2 number ones), then yeah. If not, they need to grab a skill position player, maybe Roy Williams. I rather see them trade down and get an O-lineman and a defensive lineman or linebacker.

Congratulations to Keith on a great season.  [smiley=ragin.gif] [smiley=zenmaster.gif] [smiley=ragin.gif]

I enjoyed the league a whole lot this year and I am really looking forward to see how the league progresses.

BTW, If anyone is interested in trading please let me know.  I ended up with a bunch of good RB's (Tomlinson, Green, Barlow, D. Davis, C. Martin, C. Brown) and a few good WR's.

It is a shame that none of the teams in the hunt traded for C. Martin.  He finished the season on a strong note.

Hey guys if there's any openings next season I'd like to join this league.  Looks very competitive & I love to compete.
