Title: Battle for First Post by Philly on Dec 20th, 2005, 10:31am Looks like Ray got me this week. I won 4 of the 6 categories (Pass, Rush, Other, and Kick) while Ray got 2 in a big way (Rec and Def). The thing that really screwed me up was that I got 2 rushing TDs from my WRs, but only 1 reception for a TD. I'll be looking forward to the championship game for another shot at you! |

Title: Re: Battle for First Post by Chumpzilla on Dec 20th, 2005, 12:51pm I think the game is gonna be close. Our teams really threw up some huge offensive numbers. Should be an interesting week #17 as well. Good luck! (But not too much ;D) |

Title: Re: Battle for First Post by Philly on Dec 20th, 2005, 10:28pm I did a quick tally of scores, and it looks like you won, 40-26. You got ALL of the defensive categories and I lost 11 points there. |

Title: Re: Battle for First Post by Philly on Dec 23rd, 2005, 12:12am I was roundly criticized for hoarding defenses in the draft this season. I've learned just how necessary defenses are in this league. I outpointed Ray in 4 of the 6 categories and got crushed because my defense played a bit worse than his did. Of course, I should have drafted the right defenses instead of the ones I did. C'est la vie. |

Title: Re: Battle for First Post by Chumpzilla on Dec 23rd, 2005, 5:08am My point of view is each owner has the same opportunity to employ the same type of strategy. Some teams load up on defenses while others load up on other positions like running back. If you have three solid defenses that means there will be two solid defenses that can't be played against you any given week. Also allows you to start them based on match-ups. Therefore, my point of view is [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |
