Usually I have very few conflicts, but this Summer is crazy. Anyway, at this point the other days that Steve suggested in August are good for me. The weekend of the 21-22 would be nice and close to the start of the season. Wow Randy Johnson just finished a perfect game as I am typing this. Unreal. |

I just spoke to Doug, who no longer can access the site from work and has only limited (time to) access the internet at home, today and he informed me that he will be away in Florida from Friday, August 20th until Friday, August 27th and will be UNavailable to be contacted by phone on Saturday, August 21st. This surely throws a wrench in our once well-laid-out plans! Of course, he could submit a paper list, but we know that is not at all what we want to have happen. As such, I am going to open things back up. Do know that we do NOT have to change a date just because one person cannot attend, but I am going to make this next presentation as if we would as that seems like the right thing to do; also, in light of this new news I am going to open up an earlier weekend that I know you guys will not be all too keen on, but, well, we got to do what we got to do... So, I am going to "reset" this sort of; here is what we are working with: ( (I am away and canNOT participate in any way, shape or form.) (As we know, DB is a no-go for the 14th.) (Doug, we now know, is away through this weekend.) Saturday, August 28th or (Though I say that the 28th could work for me, classes start on Monday, August 30th and besides that I will be MOVING, which we all know is hell in and of itself, no less a fairly long-distance move down to D.C. that I will probably have to do all alone and a tight, rushed-up one at that, trying to do IT ALL in a way that I do not have to pay an August rent and with school bearing down on me that week and I, in general, will be amidst a MAJOR "life" transition during this time; so, really, this whole weekend is not good for me.) I would actually prefer these dates to the weekend prior even though it would be my first full weekend down in D.C. and I would have to come up.) So, where do we go from here? And, given all the mayhem this summer (for me, especially), I would like to keep it simple regarding the location: let's just have it at the usual, "Morgan's" in the Holiday Inn in Tinton Falls, New Jersey RIGHT OFF Exit 105 of the Garden State Parkway (maybe, given my soon-to-be new locale, we can get funky with it next year). Since it is on a Saturday, I would like you all to plan to go out afterwards. I'm thinking somewhere on the Jersey shore this year, perhaps Wildwood, Seaside Heights or Point Pleasant (to name a few fun, hot spots), but I'm game for whatever. |

I'll be there, and barring any "last-minute" mishaps (like the printer run's out of ink or the paper gets jammed or I forget something and have to circle home, etc., etc.), I'll be there as soon as humanly possible. In the league I run we order pizza and wings, bread sticks...ect...so that it is a simple low maintenance distraction "buffet." Just a thought buddy. PLease let us know in advance if we can bring chips, a bucket of KFC chicken, bags of ice for the cooler, sodas, beer or what whatever to help you out. Don't be afraid to ask. |
