Title: Generous GBRFLers
Post by StegRock on Aug 5th, 2005, 2:36pm
Fellas, I want to thank DB for stepping up and becoming the first in the GBRFL (of the "originals"/personal friends of mine) to become a donor to FantasyFootballer.com.  He also placed an order for two "the Gridiron" t-shirts.  And, all of this is over and above his getting his league fee in the day of the Summer Meeting and Draft.  Guys, these are things I truly appreciate.  I think what I do around here is worth a lot to all of you and while I know you are all grateful and I enjoy hearing the kind words of gratitude and support you guys give me on occasion, it is "substantive" support like this that really makes a difference, especially in light of the fact that, as the years go by, the site becomes ever-increasingly more expensive, in terms of both money and time, to maintain and keep advancing.  Thank you so much, Dave, for seeing through to this truth and lending a hand.  In return for your hand [smiley=clap.gif] (I use that smiley because I think that captures the spirit of your giving) let me throw you back a couple thumbs. Guys, I had to amend my post right above with some parenthetical addenda to indicate the spirit of my point.  The fact of the matter is that Steve Warner has also made donations.  Sorry for my initially biffing on that, Steve. :-/ ... [smiley=letsmakeup.gif]

AWESOME!  A third GBRFLer, the second of the originals, has stepped up with a donation.  Thanks a BUNCH, Danny boy, for showing your appreciation of my efforts with the site, league and everything in this "substantive" way. [smiley=bow.gif] It's a genuine show of understanding of how much (of what little I do have fiscally) I lay out and have laid out to make this all a reality and, thus, it is a true show of friendship. [smiley=touching.gif]

...

And, just a reminder, thank yous to and a record of site donors are made and kept on the following page:

...

Anyway, yet another GBRFLer, this time DT, has stepped up with a very kind donation to help me keep things going 'round here.  Thanks a bunch, bro! [smiley=bow.gif] Follow the links I provided in my posts above to check out 1) the addition of your name to the site donors list AND, moreover, 2) a personal message to you (on the second page of the "Site Donors" thread on "the Sidelines).
