I would agree this is horrible news for Mr Parsons. His team is down to 1 legitimate RB. However, I would be cautiously optimistic if I was you. Selvin Young is clearly the front runner, but Shannahan has a habit of doing the unexpected. Remember, Pittman, Andre Hall, and a rookie all are on the team too. Shannanhan has this nasty habit of going with the unknown. |

Title: Re: Selvin Young and the Restless Post by StegRock on Jun 3rd, 2008, 4:19pm Absolutely! Agreed! However, there are no two ways about the fact that Young's value, relative to what it was upon yesterday's dawn, which was about a borderline cut (even for my team), just went through roof. Heck, he's at least got to be considered a solid #3 (in the GBRFL format), a starter. I would actually say a #2 with, given that we are talking the Broncos here, big-time #1 upswing potential. In any event, whatever it is, it is a HUGE jump in value for a guy I was thinking was probably a cut just 24 hours ago. |

Ouch Steg- Benson didn't even get picked up on waivers for the low price of $800k. I guess you did get reamed. |

Title: Re: Selvin Young and the Restless Post by StegRock on Jun 13th, 2008, 11:12pm Eh... [smiley=pullleeeeeeeze.gif] Non-sequitur... vis-a-vis this thread's topic... The situation with Benson, lamentable as it is, only emphasizes how much of a saving grace the Young situation is for me. I mean... we've all had our share of guys who don't pan out (How's that rocky marriage of yours going with Reggie "way overhyped" Bush? And, you GOT TO keep that guy!), and we could throw poo at each other all day over those situations. [smiley=shitfan.gif] That's not what this thread, in terms of its express subject, is about. But, anyway, again, as regards your pointing out of the Benson debacle, it's all the more reason I have to be thankful the situation with Selvin Young, the topic of this thread, has panned out the way he has. :) [And, who knows? Benson may still resurface somewhere (in fact, I am sure he will). But, as things currently stand, the option to dump him come cut-down time with a clear conscience is surely open to me.] |

Title: Re: Selvin Young and the Restless Post by DOLFAN on Jun 18th, 2008, 10:52pm Yeah I got fucked by Travis Henry, so much for the 2nd rounder and Aaron Rodgers. Maybe Henry can get picked up by Detroit and have anoeEhr kid from a 6th woman. Maybe Benson can join Ron Dayne down in Houston. I hear they have lots of water for his "Party Boat" trips. |

Title: Re: Selvin Young and the Restless Post by T-Rave on Jul 8th, 2008, 3:39pm I'm sure Kevin Jones could give Travis Henry some pointers about Detroit. And have fun with Ron Dayne. |
