Title: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by DB on Mar 7th, 2010, 5:06pm
Figured I would start this off here with all the free agency stuff in the news.

I'm look to deal this off-season, at least much more than I was the past couple years.  I am certainly looking for protection spots.  I also have receivers to deal (Steve Smith, Roddy White, Steve Breaston).  Breaston is going to be projected in the top 20 since Boldin is gone and he is going into his breakout year.

Email me.

I am looking to upgrade at RB. Ronnie Brown, Pierre Thomas, Steve Slaton, and of course ...OLD MAN LT2 is available also.
I would not want much at all for LT2 Draft pick, or something like that....maybe a pro-spot or (2nd rounder) and I give back a 6th rounder. I dont know how to value him except that he is a backup, maybe he lands on a good team. He is a bit better than a borderline guy, not sure if he can produce #3 RB numbers consistantly.

Also: Vincent Jackson, Percy Harvin,.... Meachem, and Garcon I want to trade 1 or more of these guys. Meachem and Garcon are #3 WRS with room to grow, I value Meachem more than Garcon.

anyone and everyone on my team is available.

I am looking to obtain additional 1st or 2nd round draft picks this year.

We can discuss players, but to make it even easier, we can discuss swaps of my next years draft picks for this years draft picks.

I am still looking for deals, I want to shake things up.  Clearly, based on my deals so far, I am willing to give up good players at less than "market value".  So feel free to make offers.  Specifically, if anyone is looking for a top 5 defense (probably), I will trade the Green Bay Packers somewhat on the cheap since I have the Jets.  I am looking for a draft pick or protection spot.

Due to my most recent trade, some things have changed.

I now only have LT2, Meachem and Garcon to deal. ( I plan on cutting 1 of guys, I could trade them for picks or players.

I have decided that I will be keeping Ronnie Brown and Pierre Thomas(new extension) coming his way.

Wow, that must of been hard to decide.  Keeping two starting running backs.  :)

Yea, that third line was totally perplexing ?.?.? and completely non sequitur.  In context, it suggests that, before trading Slaton for White, he was actually considering cutting one or both of them, which is totally absurd... and, I think, simply untrue.  But, then again, when has the truth ever acted as an obstacle for Joe.  Thing is, there is no point to this claim. [smiley=shrug.gif]

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by DOLFAN on Jun 9th, 2010, 11:40am
LOL, you guys kill me. I guess my post was taken...and implied in the wrong context.  If you read my earlier post, in the same thread, that I was looking to upgrade Ronnie Brown and Pierre Thomas. With Ronnie getting good reports of his injury, and Pierre Thomas getting an extension soon, that I have the 2 top 20 RBs that I was looking for to go with my #1- Mendenhall.
I will have to stick with these 3 as my top RBs, since I can't upgrade for a top 6 guy. I will have to deal with it.
I plan on making some positive NOISE this year. Look out DB you will be de-throned this year!!!! Although it may not be by me. It probably be Frank or Pak that will dethrone you, but I will make some chinks in your armour.

Just some early trash talking.

Oh, you mean like this report... [smiley=uponreview.gif]

"Ronnie Brown sat out of Miami's OTA today for precautionary reasons, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Mike Berardino.

Our View: Brown recently had a screw removed from his right foot. He's expected to be back to, or at least near, full health by the time training camp starts in July. Still, he remains a very real injury risk."

LOL, yes, just like that one. There are a few more out there too.

Or this one:

1/2 empty or 1/2 full??? I'm not sure, but you know as well as I do, their will be guys on both sides. Pick and choose which stories are more accurate....I think both guys could be correct..."when" he plays he is a beast...the key word being "when". Just calling it as I see it. Ronnie is the classical case of high risk/high reward.

He is not looking good this year, hence I am lookng for another WR to COVER MY ASS!!!

I am open to acquiring another wr at this point.

Who knows what/if/when VJ will play, if at all, this year. ...Little selfish prick. His trade value is shit, so he is pretty much off the market, because he is too cheap.

**** I am now looking for a solid #2 WR to replace him, let me know if you have any wrs that fit this bill you are looking to deal.

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks

I am looking to move a receiver or the Packers D.  I have more protectable players than protection spots.

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by StegRock on Jul 8th, 2010, 7:57pm
In trying to determine my cuts and keeps, I have something to throw out there... for anybody who still believes in this guy.  WR Anthony Gonzalez, who is supposedly going to get an opportunity to win his job back from Pierre Garcon this training camp, is "officially" on the block... for, for believers, what I take to be an affordable price.  If you are possibly interested, let me know!

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by StegRock on Jul 13th, 2010, 10:20pm
Heya, guys!  Just wanted to say that the trade I made with Travis does NOT preclude my interest in dealing Gonzalez (per the post right above).  In fact, I could now deal him (for a non-player commodity) with the protection spot.  That could be a bit tricky, though, as the going rate for a protection spot is a 2nd-round draft pick.  I would, thus, need more than that for the spot plus Gonzalez.  My take is that, if the deal isn't enough, I'd rather either just deal you the protection spot for a 2nd-rounder and throw Gonzalez back into the pool or just protect him myself.

Okay, off Gonzalez, who really represents just one specific possibility,... based on this trade with Ravenous T, I am now also in a good position to do a one-for-two deal without my needing a protection spot to be included or a two-for-one deal where I could include the protection spot.  Being in such a position can surely facilitate a trade, and I am ready and willing.  Thing is, nothing at a glance jumped off the "Rosters" page at me.  So, if something strikes you, [smiley=uponreview.gif] by all means hit me up a.s.a.p.

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by DirkDiggler on Jul 14th, 2010, 4:00pm
If you are interested in a receiver that actually played last year and had 79 receptions for 912 yards (and 3 TDs) then I have one of those available for a very reasonable price.

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by DB on Jul 19th, 2010, 12:06pm
At this point, I am cutting either Steve Smith (Carolina), Steve Breaston or the Packers' D.  It's probably going to be Breaston based on current rankings.

It looks like I am also cutting Kenny Britt.

If anyone is interested in any of the above, let me know.  I would also do a 2 for 1 involving some of my other players to make room.

Dave, repectfully...you did it because you can! Your team is stacked with studs, and deep as hell to boot. I would say that over the past many years every owner has made an "unbalanced" trade or two....except Warner of course, LOL..because he always needs that extra draft pick...or a round higher to get the deal done.  ;D ;) ...hell so do I at times.
Lately I'm just looking for fair value deals.

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks

Only 11 days left to make deals!!!

Comeon Steg, I know you got 1 more deal up your sleeve.

I'm surprised Warner has not made a deal this off season....I guess between he and Mark, there are not too many 2nd rounders left for him to get.  ?.?.? ::)

Title: Re: 2010 Off-Season Trade Talks
Post by StegRock on Jul 23rd, 2010, 11:09am
A couple points of clarification of Joe's post above...  I think he means 10 days, not 11, assuming his starting point is July 23rd.  HOWEVER, Joe, that doesn't matter.  Trades can still be made after cuts but before the draft.  In fact, an argument could be made that it is easier to cut deals at that point because protection spots are no longer an issue.  In other words, uneven trades can be made without the [smiley=zombie.gif] oh, so dreaded [smiley=yikes.gif] consideration of protection spots.  Only draft picks in return have to be considered, but, really, if the deal is otherwise liked by all parties involved, that's just a secondary courtesy consideration.  It's just like it works during the draft.  In other words, an otherwise fair, uneven, say, 2-for-1 deal is made and it's just like the, as was customary, last draft pick of the guy who got the 2 players is, so to speak, automatically transferred to the other guy just to even out the draft.  I say "as was customary" because, really, only in late-ish years have these "courtesy" draft picks in return been squeezed for extra value.  Again, that is not to say trades involving draft picks didn't go down from the inception of this league.  They surely did.  I'm just talking about the mindset [smiley=greedy.gif] of getting back that little bit more via the, for all intents and purposes, courtesy draft pick in return on an otherwise fair, uneven deal.

Pierre Garcon
Frank's 6.9 this year
Joe's 6th-2011

Yea....  And you say I am the one who insists on getting the extra stuff.  You managed to squeeze out a 1 round bump in 2011 from a 6th rounder to a 5th rounder.   I NEVER want to hear that shit from you again....you turnip squeezer.

Oh yea, plus a 2nd rounder and a defense for a guy who was a borderline cut.

If you don't have interest, that's fine, but I know that some of you do.

Steve, not that this really matters, I know, but, actually, just to clarify, Joe and I had cut a small deal, which involved us flip-flopping 1st-rounders.  So, in fact, I have his 1st-rounder (4th overall), and he has mine (3rd overall).  Anyway, thanks for the supportive words on what is (yet again?), I firmly believe, an abundantly fairminded trade offer I'm throwing out there. I am looking to trade any RB I have except Mendy and Mathews. That give you a choice of 3 #1 Rbs for their teams, and should produce solid/consistant stats. Get them now before the value/price goes up.
I also have 2x way undervalued top15 WRS, and draft draft picks to make a deal happen...be creative look long/short term...toss me an offer.

I forgot to mention Joe you are impossibel to deal with, this is why no one ever deals with you. Any offer anyone tosses to you is always put down by your brillint fantasy thinking. I guess this is why you win ever year.

Joe,

Please rank your top 15 receivers so that we all can know who you would prefer to deal with when it comes to your offer. In addition, please keep your golf fantasy team (see: Seve) and your football fantasy team separate. Peace out.

NO Danny, I do not want Dallas Clark or MSW. I already have the #1 TE in V. Davis.

MSW has some solid upside, but I have a smiliar guy in Percy.

BTW...the reason Percy threw up and collasped at practice was because of new medicine that they were trying for his Migranes. He is now on different medicine and 100%...and no I don't really want to deal him straught up, but would put him in a combo deal.

Danny in regards to "hard to deal with"... I believe that I have done way more deals than you....with almost every owner...except you...But you keep on thinking that Mcnabb is worth 2 -3 1st rounders, and you have been trying to dump him for 3 years.
I think I may just have to try to make a run with trading for a STUD WR.
I KNOW I WILL FINISH WAY BETTER THAN YOU DANNY. You and your big mouth, sorry ass team. Back it up big boy!!!
See you on the field compadre, I look forward to skunking your ass this year!!!   [smiley=chair.gif]  [smiley=bendover.gif]
