Yes this deal is confirmed.  

It is with great sadness that the end of a great era with AP on my team has come.  Given the likelihood of now cutting Steven Jackson and Larry Fitzgerald, I am cleaning house.

And this, boys and girls, is how you reload.  Several championship seasons have left your team old and rickety in spots, and you solve that problem by trading a 30 year-old AP and getting Teddy and the 1.3 in this year's draft.  Combined with the 1.1 already in pocket, and an already surprisingly good roster (surprisingly, given he finished second-to-last; how on earth did that happen, with Odell, AJ Green, LeSean, Forte, etc.?), there will be a ton of talent on this recent-championship roster.

I need a QB next week. Nobody had interest in former ROY Keenan Allen in trade talks the last year, or this summer...ZERO interest...He has 1 great game and I cashed in to fill a need a 3rd QB. I contacted other guys, but talks nothing happened. Dave needed a WR I needed a QB...done.

Thanks for your input though. Does it look like I even need him at WR? he rides the pine as my #5.

Cousins is nothing special, just a guy with upside, but I like him more than Alex Smith or Jimmy Clausen.

Danny, if you see guys on my roster that you like and feel like you want to rip me off too, send me an offer...communicate. You didn't have a 4th QB, so I didn't talk to ya.

I can see Danny's point here. Although, it's not a title-clincher, Allen has ALOT[b][/b]more upside than Cousins. Cousins had his chance last year, albeit with a dreadful team, and simply sucked (with good receivers and a VG RB to boot).

Well, Luke McCown was not...  That said, he too would have been had Pak not screwed up his free-agent requests and put down Josh McCown. [smiley=doh.gif]

With that said, I do not think the deal is that bad.  Gruden seems to believe in Cousins, and, while Allen has more upside, you never know with receivers.  Cousins is getting his shot now.  Right now, Allen is a sort of dime-a-dozen up-and-down, unpredictable RC3, and Gates will be back soon.  Moreover, I could see his career ironically going the way of Stevie Johnson's. :-X

One other comment on this...  A correction of sorts to my prior post...  You are, strictly speaking, being a bit tendentious here.  It is not that you did not get the 4th "because the others were all taken before [you]."  You puzzlingly ?.?.? listed Matt Cassel FIRST!  So, contrary to what I suggested above, regardless of Pak's mistake, you would not have gotten Luke McCown, anyway.

Confirmed!  Joe and I actually confirmed it by phone earlier in the day.  I did phone changes to my lineup in to DB.  At the time I submitted my lineup today, the trade was still just a possibility, but I had to head out, so I put it in my lineup just in case.  That said, at that time I had forgotten to put in a drop for the trade.  I did get that in to DB along with a couple of other changes that the confirmation of the trade prompted and otherwise.  I am not yet home to update the league web site, but the changes to my Week 7 lineup submission are as follows:

1) Drop Jacksonville Jaguars for trade.
2) Remove Landry Jones from my free-agent request list.
3) (Unrelated to the trade...) Switch up defenses in my Game #2 against Warner <- (oops) as follows: 1) San Diego Chargers, 2) Washington Redskins (and then the rest as submitted).

So, the deal below will go though on the CONDITIONAL term that if Travis's line up and Warners line up submission  going through.   Deal was done close to kick off and time of line up change was close to kickoff.   I posted the message above to have time stamp of trade before kickoff.  (It took me a minute to get to the site to post it as well)

Warner gets:
Travis 2nd round draft pick
Kaepernick
Gabbert

Travis gets:
Warners round 1 free agent pick
Warners 3rd round draft pick


Warner would drop the 2 players in his line up and not add any players.
