Title: 2024 Draft Talk Post by PrimeTime on Sep 2nd, 2024, 10:36am Fun draft everyone. The first round was fun. I was in "Best Player Available" mode and ended up with 3 receivers and a QB. I really wanted to add a RB but the way the picks fell I didn't see the value there in round 1. Ended up with another WR at the end of round 2 but I thought the value was there for JSN. Finally grabbed a RB in round 3 in Spears. Hopefully the split with Pollard is close to 50/50. [smiley=fingerscrossed.gif] I needed to piece together Defenses. Hopefully LAC can get me past weeks 1 and 2 then I can ride KC the rest of the way. I know almost nothing about Jacksonville DEF. I just took them with the hope they bounce back this year and make the playoffs. They will probably be my first cut for waiver. |

Title: Re: 2024 Draft Talk Post by PrimeTime on Sep 2nd, 2024, 3:10pm Here are my favorite picks in each round: Rd 1: 1.06 - Malik Nabers - Has potential top 10 WR talent. Will get tons of targets in NYG offense. Would be clear WR1 most years. Rd 2: 2.09 - J.J. McCarthy - Will need to wait a year but he is a first round pick if he isn't injured. Potential top 20 QB at 2.09 is great value. Rd 3: 3.10 - Austin Ekeler - Top 30 RB at the end of the third round. Rd 4: 4.01 - Christian Watson - Could easily be WR2 if the targets roll his way in crowded WR corps. Should see most of the red zone action. His upside is worth the risk here. Rd 5: 5.08 - Dalton Kincaid - Listed as TE but plays the slot. Could be Allen's favorite target. Rd 6: 6.10 - Spencer Rattler - Only David Carr stands in his way to becoming a starting QB. Rd 7: 7.07 - Ja'Lynn Polk - NE #1 WR in round 7. May be the steal of the draft. Rd 8: 8.04 - Jermaine Burton - Million dollar body, 10 cent brain. Ultimate boom or bust, but the Boom could be loud! Rd 9: 9.05 - Ricky Pearsel - Gets shot in chest, takes thug's gun and shots him with it. Nothing more needs to be said. |

Or Derek Carr. David Carr never had a good enough o-line to stand anywhere, much less in someone's way! |

Title: Re: 2024 Draft Talk Post by DirkDiggler on Sep 2nd, 2024, 8:58pm Well, my favorite picks are different then Genes. Here is what I see: Round 1 - 1.03 Jayden Daniels I mean it is the first round, all decent picks. I think he has a large upside with rushing yards. Round 2 - 2.02 Xavier Worthy I actually had him as pick 10. However, I didnt need another WR. With Rashee Rice's long suspension/jail time and his ability to go deep, he could be the deep threat Hill used to present. Honorable mention o JJ McCarthy who will be starting next year. Round 3 - 3.04 Rico Dowdle The dude is competing with Ezekiel Elliot whose good for about 2 yards a carry. Round 4 - 4.08 Jordan Addison coming off a 911 yards and 10 TD year. Not sure why he was sill on the board. Round 5 - 5.05 Jordan Mason - He looked good filling in last year and with Elijah Mitchell out, he is the clear #2 in SF now. Round 6 - 6.05 - Jacoby Brisset - Starting QB in the 6th round. That is value! Round 7 - 7.06 Jamieson Winston - What the hell is wrong with Deshaun Watson? Does anyone think he will regain his form and/or not be hurt? Round 8 - 8.03 Joshua Palmer - value pick with both Keenan Allen and Mike Williams gone, someone has to be the #1. Round 9 - 9.09 Mike Williams - if he is healthy, and Aaron Rodgers is healthy, could be in for a pretty good year easily outperforming 9.09 pick |
