He allegedly refused to comply with a traffic officer and then hit her with his car. Don"t know any other details.

Here is the best I could come up with as far as "insider-type" info on the issue. It is a quote from a Minnesota Viking message board, a link to which is (confidently) provided thereafter:

'INNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Minnesota Vikings receiver Randy Moss was in police custody Tuesday after an incident with a police traffic control officer.

Police spokeswoman Cyndi Barrington said Moss was in custody and his Lexus was impounded after the incident about 6 p.m. Barrington didn't have further details and wasn't certain of a possible charge against Moss. WCCO-TV reported Moss bumped the officer with his car in downtown Minneapolis, ignoring her signals to stop. The officer was pushed about two feet by Moss's car, and was not seriously hurt, WCCO reported.'

Randy seems to be not as afraid off the field, as he is on the field. Rather than face the medicine, he would rather duck and hide from the police. Everyone lauds Green for signing him, but in reality, Randy has the maturity of an 8 year old kid.

"The implications of this story range from nothing to severe. If the police see it as a mistake, Moss will likely have no consequences. Alternately, if the police view it as an intentional act, Moss could be in serious trouble. The wheels of justice turn very slowly, so it is unlikely that this incident will keep Moss off the field at any point this year."

"Updating an earlier story, ESPN.com reports Minnesota Vikings WR Randy Moss will reportedly be charged with second-degree assault, a felony. Coach Mike Tice would not comment on the story until he knows more. 'I'm still trying to figure out what's going on,' Tice said." [smiley=ohshit.gif]

I know you probably just posted this in jest and you may know how to do this, anyway, BUT just in case and so everybody knows... YES, you can change the way your name appears in the forum (even though you cannot change your "User name" or "Log-in name"). Here is what you have to do:

1) Go to your "Profile" by clicking your name;
2) Click "Modify", which is in white font above your profile;
3) On the "Edit profile" page, the fourth thing down, the third thing that can be changed says...
Name:
This is the displayed name that people will see.
Change this to whatever you want. The great thing is you can use ANY characters you want including space bar strokes, to get rid of unwanted underlines or dashes or fix smushed-together names.

With all due respect to my lawyer friends out there, what a bunch of SMUG FUCKIN' DEFENSE-LAWYER BULLSHIT this is...

"As expected, Moss was not present for his arraignment Wednesday and his defense attorney, Joe Friedberg, did not enter a plea during the brief hearing. A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Oct. 30.

'At some point we will enter not guilty pleas to all of these counts,' Friedberg said Tuesday.

Friedberg also said he did not plan to enter pleas on Moss' behalf during the arraignment, which he expected would be a quick and routine hearing."

(Criminal) Defense lawyers, in particular, have a way of convoluting the truth so much so that it cannot even be determined and, thus, (true) justice as well. Is this what it is all about? In truth, I guess so... If the defense lawyer convolutes it enough, a verdict cannot be made. Job well done! [smiley=smileythumbsdown.gif]
