No, this isn't it.  Just wanted to let people know that it is coming.  I'm out of town on a business trip and have had trouble connecting to the internet.  I'll try to get it up sometime Saturday evening.  This will be a tough one to predict...

The Eagles are in an interesting situation this week.  They are coming off two overwhelming (and emotional) victories over division opponents.  They are being touted now as Super Bowl hopefuls in the NFC as a response to poor showings by the Rams, Niners, and Packers.  Now they get to face the expansion Houston Texans where they are 20 point favorites (an embarrassingly large number in the NFL).   :o

Are the Eagles overconfident?  Are they ripe for a let-down?  My answer to both questions is a resounding yes.  Will they lose the game?  Absolutely not.   [smiley=victory.gif]

Here are the projections for this week:

QB - Donovan McNabb
He just signed a HUGE contract.  He has been a fantasy monster this year.  If the Eagles are destroying Houston in the 2nd half, look for Koy Detmer to get some PT.
300 PaYds, 35 RuYds, 2 TDs, 0 INTs.

RBBC - Duce Staley, Dorsey Levens, Brian Westbrook
The RBBC has been fairly effective so far this year.  The rookie even threw for a TD last week.  Look for some more RB carries this week to control the clock.  Westbrook could see some more time this week.
Staley: 40 RuYds, 50 ReYds, 1 TD
Levens: 55 RuYds, 15 ReYds
Westbrook: 80 RuYds, 20 ReYds, 1 TD

WR - James Thrash, Todd Pinkston, Antonio Freeman
WRs have been scoring and putting up decent yardage, but there are too many receivers receiving equal attention to really jump out as a #1 or #2 fantasy starter.
Thrash: 60 ReYds
Pinkston: 30 ReYds
Freeman: 80 ReYds, 1 TD

TE - Chad Lewis
Lewis has started slowly this year.  He is not receiving nearly as many looks as he had in the past with the emergence of other offensive weapons.
45 ReYds

K - David Akers
He is a can't miss kicker.  You might have even picked up some rushing yards from him last week as he ran for a first down on a fake FG.
2-2 FGS (1 from 50+), 3/3 XPs

Defense
The defense has put up two stellar performances, but is banged up.  Their defensive line is missing 2 starting DTs (Simon & Thomas) and their backup DT (Walker) has been helped off the field (before returning) each of the last two weeks.  I would still expect the Eagles defense to put up some serious fantasy numbers against the anemic Texans offense.

Recap:
Must start: McNabb, Akers, Defense  ;D
Backup starters: Staley, Freeman, Thrash, Lewis   :)
If desperate: Westbrook, Pinkston, Levens   :-/

Final score: Eagles 27, Texans 13 (No, they don't cover this week.  It's just too big of a line.)

Thanks for the update.....I was leaning towards starting Thrash over KJ2 at WR3, but I may start KJ2 now.

I guess I shouldn't worry too much about a rumor from someone named Mossaholic.   ;)

Anyway, this is the first I've heard of it.

Yeh I guess I deserve that.  I did hear that and it is just a rumor but I just wanted to know if someone had more info

The rumor has been going around for 2-3 days.  I have not seen anything credible yet.

I've been out of town on business for about 2 weeks now - and am out of the country right now, so I'm not getting much in the way of news.

It's tough to turn on SportsCenter on a Sunday in Canada and the lead stories are CFL, preseason hockey, and golf.

Exactly why I wrote it.  No harm in needling a bit.   ;)  Oh, and I do need to give you some props.  Jamel White did have a nice game this week.  I guess we're going to hear your incessant celebratory messages about him again?
