Think I got a neat idea for another participatory thread here at "the Red Zone" (to go along with our "Red Zone Players of the Week"). I am calling it "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week". Here, you are to list your key player for the week, the one that was key to your victory(ies). I really think we can have some fun with this! [smiley=dancin.gif] You can expect this to be up every Tuesday from here on out!

I am actually going to try to go back through the first five weeks of play and list my MVP's for each of those weeks as well, but for now...

Mine for Week 6 is without doubt, Mike Vanderjagt, without whom I would have dropped one of my two games this week AND a player about whom I have been chided for protecting on my GBRFL keeper team. [smiley=laugh.gif]

My MVP of the week would have to be Mikhael Ricks. Jeremy Shockey has been disappointing all season, then he made his benching even easier by injuring his toe...

Ricks came through with 79 ReYds and a TD and led me to my 6th win in as many weeks. All of my other players (other than Portis) were below their yearly averages.

My MVP has got to be the Pittsburgh Defense. Not only did they score a TD, but they only gave up 7 points and minimal yards. A close second would be Terrell Owens. Two TD's is pretty solid performance.......

Okay, I went through the first five weeks of the season and came up with the following as my MVP's/co-MVP's for each week:

Week 1 - Priest Holmes/Brad Johnson
Week 2 - Terry Glenn/Joe Horn
Week 3 - Priest Holmes
Week 4 - Tony Gonzalez
Week 5 - Priest Holmes/Curtis Martin
Week 6 - Mike Vanderjagt/Ahman Green (revised from above)

Gotta give it to the Pit D. I drafted them relatively high to get them in 4 of my 7 leagues and finally they came through for me.
