Title: Ricky Williams (no, the other one...)
Post by Philly on Oct 31st, 2002, 12:36pm
Any chance he is the new Dominic Rhodes?  I picked him up this week just in case.

Anyone have any info on Edge's prognosis for this weekend?

Is he worth a start over Kevan Barlow or Antowain Smith?  (Both my starting RBs - Holmes and Portis - have byes this weekend.)

[smiley=ohshit.gif] I'm undefeated in my performance league this year, but have to face the #2 team this weekend.  [smiley=ohshit.gif]

Based on my experience with Edge last year I think RW2 likely will be the next coming of Rhodes.  From what little I saw of the Indy game the offense looked much stronger with Rw in the game.  Last official word I saw Edge is Doubtful.  Of course he was quest.doubt or prob for 4-5 weeks last year before he went on IR. An early wether report predicted a lake effect snow storm in Buff. so it will likely be a running game. I guess I would make RW vs. Smith a Game Day Decision.  [smiley=dog.gif]

Lotsa good info there!  Thanks.  I'll keep an eye on things.

I rarely agree with the flea bag, but he does make some good points.  In paticular the game day decsion since the Hearst situation is not clear cut. [smiley=dancin.gif]

He'll be Dominic Rhodes for a week, but Edge doesn't have a busted ACL this time so RW2 is only valuable for a week.

Priest Holmes and Clinton Portis only have byes this week, so that's all I need RW2 for.  Hopefully he'll have a huge week and I can use him as trade bait.  My receivers need a bit of an upgrade.   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Ditto on the Priest bye week here.  Hopin RW2 does well.

Hey Razzak... any news on the Niners RBs?  I've got Barlow and wondering if he'll get a majority of the carries this weekend, or is Hearst healthy enough?  If Barlow is splitting carries, I may need to try Antowain Smith against Buff...

Hope you get this in time.  Hearst is getting the start, but I think Barlow will get the touchdowns again this week.  When deciding between two tough choices, I usually go with the RB who's more likely to go for a huge game.  In this case, Barlow's much more likely to have 150 yards than Smith is.  Actually I think that Pats-Buffalo game will be relatively low scoring  [smiley=ohshit.gif].

Eh, let me sum it up again.  Hearst = starting but gimpy.  Barlow = at least 50 total yards, possibly 120/2tds.

11:56 am est - For the Colts, RB Ricky Williams pulled his hamstring in pre-game warmups and is inactive. FB Jim Finn starts. #3 RB James Mungro will back up Finn. Starting RB Edgerrin James (hamstring) is also inactive

GET RW2 OUT OF YOUR LINE UP

See my response in your thread Drugrunner.  Thanks for trying to help, but I couldn't do a thing about it.

Okay, Barlow did get 60 yards but good lord did Smith go off this week.  Sorry if that cost you :(  I guess I was half right, buffalo didn't score much at least :(
