Title: Benching Culpepper

I think I am going to bench Dante for the remainder of the year, (unless he actually starts to get hot) and play Bulger for the rest of the season. I am almost out of contention anyway (one more loss will do it)

What do you guys think, should I go away from the always play your stud theory and go with the younger, hotter hand?

If I had to make that call I would compare their stats from the last 3 games and go with the better production.   [smiley=dog.gif]

A couple comments:

1) I don't know if the "play your stud" theory applies to Daunte these days! ??? I think it applies to Culpepper only "in name" anymore! [smiley=hmmmm.gif]

2) I would feel very comfortable playing Bulger over Culpepper over the next couple weeks given the Rams' schedule.  BUT, as for the rest of the season, you may not even have a choice there.  Kurt Warner will be returning soon.  It will be interesting to see what Martz decides to do with his superstar when he is ready, but after a fairly horrific start. ???

Well, here is the lowdown on that HOT off "the Gridiron Newsstand (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/newsstand.htm)":

Bulger may not be your long-term replacement for Culpepper!

I also have Brad Johnson and Kerry Collins on the pine. SO it will be QBBC for the remainder of the season... :-[

You might want to dangle Brad Johnson out on the trade wire to see if he gets any bites.  I had people begging me for Trent Green after he threw 5 TDs while sitting on my bench.

I ended up trading Trent Green for Antowain Smith and Ed McCaffrey.  Not a great trade, but I picked up Brad Johnson on waivers as a back-up to McNair.  Green wasn't going to get the start over McNair anyway because of his inconsistency.  Now I have some depth at WR and RB.
