Title: "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week 10 Post by StegRock on Nov 6th, 2002, 8:10am WEEK 10 "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" are simply to be ONE player from each of the FIVE skill positions, QB, RB, TE, WR, PK. Just list ONE for each position, no stats projections necessary. Let's keep it simple for the newbies! [smiley=newbie.gif] [smiley=newbie.gif] Addendum: you may offer up TWO groups, one more of the "stud" variety and one consisting of players better-termed as "sleepers." I actually encourage you all to do this if you have the time. I will give the basic template/pattern I want you to use. Again, PLEASE follow it closely for the newbies. [smiley=newbie.gif] [smiley=newbie.gif] THANKS! [smiley=bow.gif] Here is the pattern to follow (cut and paste it if need be): QB - ... RB - ... WR - ... TE - ... PK - ... (Of course, the addition of SMILIES is always cool! [smiley=beatnik.gif] ) |

K: Jeff Wilkins- The Chargers D will bounce back, so Wilkins will get his shots. |

I know we're bad. Real bad. But bad enough that a guy playing against Seattle score on us. At this, I must say NO! [smiley=gladiator.gif] ;D all kidding aside, Seattles defense still makes him a excellent choice! |

Title: Re: "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week Post by StegRock on Nov 9th, 2002, 9:24am I found it hard to differentiate the "stud" PRIMED Players for the Week from the "sleeper" ones. Here is the best I could come up with... I am probably just hedging my bets with the second group more than anything: Group 1 QB - Brian Griese vs. Oakland RB - Ahman Green vs. Detroit WR - Rod Smith vs. Oakland TE - Chad Lewis vs. Indianapolis PK - Morten Andersen @ San Francisco Group 2 QB - Marc Bulger vs. San Diego RB - Eddie George vs. Houston WR - Tai Streets vs. Kansas City TE - Shannon Sharpe vs. Oakland PK - Sebastian Janikowski @ Denver |

Hmm... And I was wondering if I was crossing the line putting Anthony Thomas in as a sleeper this week... |

Title: Re: "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week Post by Drugrunner on Nov 9th, 2002, 7:45pm Stud QB - Jeff Garcia: here's how bad the Chiefs' pass defense is: dead last in the NFL this season, allowing 339 yards per game. Dead last over the past four weeks, allowing 354 yards per game, and ranking 30th, 32nd, and 32nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends. RB - Duece McCallister The meltdown of the Panther's defense continues to accelerate - this week they lost starting DL Brentson Buckner for four weeks due to a steroids violation, adding to the losses of DT Sean Gilbert (broken hip) and DE Fernando Smith (neck). Backup LB Lester Towns is probably out with his foot injury, and starting MLB Dan Morgan is definitely out with a hernia. WR - Terrel Owens Owens is #1 on the points-per-game list for fantasy wideouts this week TE - Wesley Walls should be over his finger problem. Sleeper QB - Rodney Peete New Orleans is a good team, but pass defense is not one of their strengths. On the season they rank 29th in the NFL (264 yards per game allowed), and over the past four weeks they are 29th (allowing 263 yards per game on average). During that four week span the Saints are 29th in fantasy points allowed to opposing QB's, 10th vs. WR's and 18th vs. TE's. RB - Thomas Jones For the season, the Seahawks are 32nd in the NFL allowing 173 yards per game, they've "improved" to 31st in the league over the past four weeks, allowing 158 yards per contest, and are 31st in terms of fantasy points allowed to opposing backs during those four weeks. WR - Donald Driver Part of Detroit's problem is that their defensive backfield is shattered by injuries - starting LB Clint Kriewaldt (foot), and starting safety Corey Harris (knee) are doubtful for Sunday's game. Starting safety Brian Walker (toe), back-up DB Lamar Campbell (hamstring), and reserve LB Jeff Gooch (ribs) are all questionable to play. Starting LB's Chris Claiborne (knee) and Barrett Green (toe) are nursing minor injuries, and LB Brian Williams is out for the season with a broken leg. |

Title: Re: "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week Post by DirkDiggler on Nov 9th, 2002, 10:46pm QB-- Aaron Brooks. I know he is playing Carolinas Def, but he has been a sold gamer all year. RB-- Warrick Dunn. I know this is a strange pick, but I think he could have 100 receiving yards against Pitts Def. WR-- Randy Moss. He IS still Randy Moss. TE-- Pollard. Indy is going to have to go to the safe bet alot against the Eagles Def. PK-- Elam. Denver will drive well but not be able to finish on Monday nite. |

Title: Re: "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week Post by Barnaby_Wilde on Nov 11th, 2002, 1:41am No shit!! That guy is the focking Ricky Williams and Michael Vick fan club president!! [smiley=pullleeeeeeeze.gif] Hell, I am a big VaTech fan(anyone seen their defense? Someone stole it 2 weeks ago and it hasn't returned it yet) but he is so on Vick's jock it's pathetic! And don't get him started on RW!! He is kinda funny though. More than likely is constantly drunk on Moosehead or Labatts...
