Title: "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" - Week 11
Post by StegRock on Nov 13th, 2002, 4:38am
WEEK 11

"Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week" are simply to be ONE player from each of the FIVE skill positions, QB, RB, TE, WR, PK.  Just list ONE for each position, no stats projections necessary.  Let's keep it simple for the newbies! [smiley=newbie.gif] [smiley=newbie.gif] Addendum:  you may offer up TWO groups, one more of the "stud" variety and one consisting of players better-termed as "sleepers."  I actually encourage you all to do this if you have the time.  I will give the basic template/pattern I want you to use.  Again, PLEASE follow it closely for the newbies. [smiley=newbie.gif] [smiley=newbie.gif] THANKS! [smiley=bow.gif]

Here is the pattern to follow (cut and paste it if need be):

QB - ...
RB - ...
WR - ...
TE - ...
PK - ...

(Of course, the addition of SMILIES is always cool! [smiley=beatnik.gif] )

Here's what I predict will be the best scoring lineup this week.
QB  Peyton Manning
RB  Priest Holmes
WR Marvin Harrison
TE   Todd Heap
K    Tim Seder.
I'm reaching on the TE spot.  We don't have required TEs in my league, so I just picked the guy I have on my roster since I'm not really familiar with the guys playing that position. [smiley=graduate.gif]

Studs:

Garcia - SD is the worst team in the league in opposing QB FF points the last 4 weeks and 6th worst for the year
Holmes- Buf allowes lots of FF RB points and Holmes is THE stud of the year
Moulds - vs the Chefs
Heap - best weapon on Baltimore's team
Feely- NO allows 30% more FF Kicker points than the average NFL team
Tampa Bay - Best D against weak O

(relative)Sleepers:

Maddox - is he still a sleeper?  Tennessee pass D sucks and Pittsburgh beginning to realize its a passing team now
James Stewart - doing well lately and going against a bad NYJ (FF) run D
Donte Stallworth - Ready to resume a good rookie year against Atlanta
Miller - is he still a sleeper?  Best TE play of the week against Jax
Wilkins
Jacksonville

Here's hopig the crystal ball is a bit more on target than last week.

Sure to please...

QB - Vick*
RB -  Priest
WR - Joe Horn
TE - Tony G
K - Wilkins

I need some remedy, for what is ailing me

QB - Pennington - if you don't have one of the 8 below, he's up against #9
RB - Faulk, Kevin Faulk. Hunch play as much as anything, but there is no denying thare looking his way recently.
WR - Bobby Shaw
TE - Billy Miller**
K -  Jay Feely

* this is tough, as of the 8 worst defenses against qb,  all play top shelf qb's this week. In order, worst first:

KC - Drew
Ten - Maddox
Chi - Bulger
Buf - Green
NOr - Vick
SanD - Garcia
Min - Favre
Oak - Brady
of these, San Diego and Neworleans have performed the worst over the last three weeks.

**he was good for 95 yards and a td 3 weeks ago against the Jags. Can lightning strike twice?
