Title: Crowell to start again finally?!?!?!?!? Post by StegRock on Nov 14th, 2002, 12:30am How about these little morsels HOT OFF "the Gridiron Newsstand (http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/newsstand.htm)"? "Mornhinweg indicated he was considering the possibility of starting Germane Crowell in place of Schroeder. Crowell, a fifth-year player, has been hampered by injuries since catching 81 passes for 1,338 yards in 1999. He missed the first five games recovering from knee surgery and has just eight catches in the past four games. If his knees are sound, though, he would give rookie quarterback Joey Harrington a big target with good speed and strength." Here is the link to the whole article: http://www.freep.com/sports/lions/lions12_20021112.htm "One of the few Lions not to drop a ball against the Packers was wide receiver Germane Crowell, who is returning from knee surgery. Mornhinweg might opt to replace Schroeder with Crowell in the starting lineup." I say, [smiley=coach.gif] "Go get him, guys, if you already haven't!" |

Title: Re: Crowell to start again finally?!?!?!?!? Post by Razzak on Nov 14th, 2002, 1:41am I don't think he can stay healthy playing full games. While he's a huge talent, it's hard to recommend picking him up unless you're in need of WR help. Then again, with Plax's big week I've now got 5 of the top 11 WR's in my league :D Consider it's 40 deep, I'm pretty happy. Now if I could just get Brees and Plummer to put up postiive numbers :( |
