Title: OK, tough decision between 2 WRs.
Post by Dullo on Nov 15th, 2002, 11:14am
Both haven't been playing well, but Kevin Johnson vs. the bungles or Chris Chambers vs. Balt?   Word out of Miami is that they're going to attempt to stretch the field in order to keep Balt from stacking the line, and Chambers would obviously be involved in that game plan.  I haven't played KJ in a while (for good reason) but he's been complaining a lot and Couch seems to be throwing the rock more his way.   My league does award a point per reception so Chambers is looking better to me right now.   Your opinion is appreciated....thnx.....M

For the last three games, Quincy Morgan has gotten as many if not more balls thrown his way than KJ. Chambers is seeing similar numbers {8 or so} but that is a much higher percentage of team targets than that of KJ. Unless you feel Miami is going to air it out against Balt, go with KJ this week and hope for a little grease on the squeaky wheel.

I'd go with KJ in a matchup move this week.  Chambers still has Lucas throwing to him, and as a fellow Rutgers graduate, I can tell you Lucas ain't that good.   [smiley=hellyeafunny.gif]

Go with Johnson. I like the matchup this week vs the Bungles, especially with them guaranteeing a victory over trhe Browns. KJ is a big smack talker himself, so  maybe his actions on the field will speak this week. Take a chance on him.

Miami's offense has been terrible since the loss of Fielder and playing Baltimore won't make them any better. Miami has scored a TOTAL of 30 points in the three games that Lucus has started. Go with KJ and take your chances on a shootout.

[smiley=alcoholic.gif]  start Johnson.  I fired him last week to pick up Taylor, making Johnson a cod lock for 150yds and 2 td.s [smiley=gonecrazy.gif]

WOW!  I have to totally buck the trend here and say go with Chambers.  Why?  I am not sure.  Cincy's pass "D" has been pretty good and I think K. J. really isn't that good.  I guess that is one reason.  That having been said, with Jamel White out a) there are going to be more "passed" balls [smiley=rollinwithlaughter.gif] going to the Browns receivers this week and b) if William Green continues to suck, there will be more passes, period.  I still see K. J. getting lost in the receiver shuffle there, which includes Morgan, Northcutt and Davis, probably in that order and all arguably ahead of K. J. at this point. :o I just see Chambers as the only pass-catching show in town for Miami with McKnight's being good enough to take some of the pressure off him.

Now, don't come beat me up now, guys! :-[ [smiley=nervous.gif]

You've been a KJ basher  [smiley=takinyours.gif]  from the very beginning of the season Steg, so I wouldn't expect that to stop now.  I admit that you've been right about him so far this season.  But he is still getting looks and catches.  It's only a matter of time until he gets into the endzone (even the other KJ gets in there now and then).

I really think that Miami is in a huge funk (not funky [smiley=pimpin.gif] ) without a QB.  I watched Ray Lucas play at Rutgers.  He's really not very good - certainly not NFL caliber.  He's stuck around because of his attitude (willing to play special teams, etc.) and lack of quality NFL QBs.

Couch, much as he is hated by the Cleveland faithful, has a pedigree.  (No, I'm not saying he is a  [smiley=dog.gif] .)

That being said, Chambers is the focal point for the defensive secondary.  McKnight is an OK #3, but he's playing as a #2 now.  McMichael has disappeared lately as well.  I don't see Chambers doing well this weekend.  I think that KJ has the better chance to score some points this weekend.

Johnson. He kills the Bungles.
