Should I go with the steady and occaisionally spectacular Jerry Rice against the Patriots or the up and comming Laveranues Coles against the weak Lion secondary.

I am sitting Coles this week so he should be good for about 150 yds and 2 td.s [smiley=alcoholic.gif]

I think both players will have a good game, but I'd start Rice. On the season, Rice has 17 more catches and almost 250 more yards receiving. Most importantly, Rice has a 5-2 edge in TD's. The Raiders are still pissed after last years "snow job" and they'll be out to prove something this week in Oakland.

I'd go with Rice.  I imagine the Jets will have a pretty easy time running the ball against the Lions, so why throw it...

Nice to have that kind of quality depth, but there isn't enough seperation betwen the two opponents to warrant  benching Rice for an up and comer. Detroit's only given up two touchdowns to wr in the last 5 games.

Aside from owning Harrison/Owens, what in the world would make you want to bench Rice? He's an every week starter.
