Title: I love Griese but...
Post by Walker_Boh on Nov 18th, 2002, 2:27pm
I can't wait to see what Beuerlein can do. As a long time fan of the Broncos, I just haven't felt right about the offense this season. We have a 7-3 record, but it feels more like 3-7 for some reason.[smiley=dejected.gif] I'm not saying that Griese is the problem, but I can't help but wonder if Beuerlein could do a better job. The QB controversy has been in the back of my head all season and it's driving me crazy! I hope Griese is back soon, but I'm glad that Beuerlein will finally get a shot. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Amen, big time amen.  Just hope I can get Steve on the waiver wire.  Of course that may result in the dreaded Game Time Decision from Shanny, night mare. [smiley=alcoholic.gif]

Nice thing here is that if you grab Buerlein AND he does well, almost no chance of Griese getting the start back, unlike Bulger/Warner. I'm not convinced Buerlein CAN do well, but at least I believe Shanny would ot hesitae to leave a perfectly healthy Griese on the bench.

That is what he gets for locking me out of the wine cellar. [smiley=dog.gif]

Hope you are right.  Beuerlein stats in 1999. 4,436 yds 36 td.s.  I hoped he would win the job in pre-season as I had doubts about Griese.  I miss McNabb(damn chunky soup commercials) [smiley=annoyed.gif] [smiley=bawling.gif] [smiley=doseofreality.gif] [smiley=downthetubes.gif] [smiley=biker.gif]

Beuerlein had great numbers in Carolina a couple years ago.  That was in CAROLINA.  He has much better weapons in Denver.  I think he will excel in Denver in his relief role.  I'm hoping to grab him off waivers this week too.  I doubt I'll use him with McNair and Warner already on the team, but if I can keep him away from an opponent I'll be happy. Steve can still do it... but Griese is the better I think,
however the WR numbers in Denver sucks... I really
need Rod Smith's numbers to SWELL, it's killing me
at the moment...
