What am I missing here? He's that emotionally important to the team, and offers nothing if not suited up? What possible reason would a team do this? |

Title: Re: Why? Post by Philly on Nov 22nd, 2002, 10:23pm Probably because he is making the league minimum and can't afford to buy a decent suit to wear on the sidelines. Hopefully he'll at least forego the pads. |

Title: Re: Why? Post by Walker_Boh on Nov 22nd, 2002, 10:25pm I think it sends a message to his teammates, coaches and the rest of the world that he has every intention of playing again soon. "I might be down, but I'm not out. I'll be back." [smiley=terminator.gif] |

Title: Re: Why? Post by StegRock on Nov 23rd, 2002, 1:13am I was thinkin' for a second that since he is actually going to suit up there might be some situation, albeit remote, in which he might just play (not that we, as fantasy footballers, should care as he is not a fantasy play no matter what). Then, I realized all the QB's they have: Batch, and then all the ones playing receiver, Ward and Randle El; hell, even Bettis can heave it up perty well. ;) So, even if Kordell were to stink it up big-time and/or get injured and Batch were to do the same, I think Randle El or even Ward would go in before Maddox. At any rate, this is all very remote and has probably just been a waste of bandwidth. :-[ |

Title: Re: Why? Post by FourTwoOh on Nov 23rd, 2002, 1:44am I guess I am assuming that they seriously would not use him under any circumstance. I think I'm also seeing it as there will be one guy who should be be suited up, but will instead be listed in-active. Poor coaching if you ask me. I'm not sure Cowher - A KC coach when he got his shot - still has my number [smiley=checkin.gif] |
