Title: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 14 Post by StegRock on Dec 10th, 2002, 8:32am Week 14 Think I got a neat idea for another participatory thread here at "the Red Zone" (to go along with our "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week"). I am calling it "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week". Here, you are to list your key player for the week, the one that was key to your victory(ies). I really think we can have some fun with this! [smiley=dancin.gif] You can expect this to be up every Tuesday from here on out! ... As for me, well, what a difference ONE week makes. I am seeing a very different picture this week through my fantasy-football kaleidoscope [smiley=hippy.gif] , oh, wait a minute that's my... I always wondered why smelly water always spilled all over me when I looked through this thing and why I always only saw cloudy water and no spectral colors, at least not when I used it as a kaleidoscope! ;) [smiley=bonghit.gif]Anyway, if you do not know what I am talking about, check out the "Week 13 Red Zone MVP" thread and you will know what I mean. Moving right along, I am giving a game ball out to a player at each of the key skill positions as it was each of them who put me over the top in their respective categories: QB Brad Johnson, RB Priest Holmes and RC Quincy Morgan. I am now the "magic number" of three games up with five to go. [smiley=havinablast.gif] |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 14 Post by ocinonyx_jubatus on Dec 10th, 2002, 8:44am I took a chance on Ahman Green. If I had picked Emmit Smith I'd be 7-7 now instead of 6-8. Emmit is my anti-MVP. ??? |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 14 Post by Philly on Dec 10th, 2002, 10:29am My Fantasy MVP this week is none other than Steg's fave... Brad Johnson. Big 4 TD, 0 INT performance. I was considering starting McNair, who, despite his injuries, had a huge game the previous week against a decent Giants D. But I eventually settled on BJ. [smiley=sneaky.gif] Doesn't matter as I ended up losing 96-94 for the week. [smiley=smileythumbsdown.gif] I still finish the regular season #1 overall and playoffs commence next week. Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 14 Post by BarnabyWilde on Dec 10th, 2002, 11:08am My Offensive MVP this week goes to Jamal Lewis. I traded for J-Lew before the season started because I had faith he'd bounce back, and he did!! Runner up goes to the rook, William Green. On D, it goes to Mike Peterson, 11 solo tackles. I ended the season on a good note, whooping a playoff team...and I still get the number 1 draft pick next year... |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 14 Post by FourTwoOh on Dec 10th, 2002, 11:50am No real standouts, just a true team effort. Still alive after week 1 in two leagues, one of those leagues invloves my team playing in two plaoffs. For the 12 man bragging rights league, co-mvps would be Doug Jolley and his 6 rec for 100+ and Tony Fisher's 100 combined + a td. One of only two td's scored by my entire team! And I won both match-ups. Livin large! In my money league Priest gets the nod. |

Title: Re: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 14 Post by Walker_Boh on Dec 10th, 2002, 2:09pm This week's game [smiley=footballsmiley.gif] goes to Jeff Garcia, whose 40 points led my team to victory and solidified my #3 ranking going into the playoffs next week. [smiley=smileythumbsup.gif] I play 2 CBSSportsline Head to Head leagues and 2 The Sporting News "stock market" leagues. I'm happy to say that both of my CBS teams made the playoffs this season with a #2 and #3 ranking and I have over a 2000 point lead in both TSN leagues with 3 weeks to play. [smiley=havinablast.gif] Yeah baby! I'll be posting a question "between the 20's". Check it out. Thanks. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] |
