I'd treat Barlow as out.

Dee Brown is their guy{although nick goings could see more this week}some gets some added value but damn, he should have been a much stronger play last week and kinda blah. Didn't see it, so just going by stats. Against Pittsburg, I don't know. Carolina has been giving up major passing game points recently, and without Peppers and Maddox getting a game back under him, I see a huge point total for Pittsburgh, say 37-38, and Carolina will have to give up on the run and air it out. Brown appears to be a very small part of the passing game.

Leon is most of the carries for his team as wellwould as well, but as poorly as the Bears palyed Monday, no way can you feel good about that offense in any aspect. The Jets though, while not a terrible run def, give up middle of the road numbers week in week out as long as your getting yardage points, td only they are a very good run def and should probably be avoided.

I'll throw this crazy idea out. Possibly Faulk and Gordon. Yup. Not a safe and sound long term srategy, but consider this  matchup potential.

I did this last night and I'll post it here as it shows that any running back you can throw at Ariz will score nicely{Chicago is prime meat, also}.

WOW great post [smiley=bow.gif]. you may have convinced me of Fualk, Gordon. Zeroue is on th FA list to so you can add him to the list. Are my options so bad no one else wants to help?

I would be hesitant to start both Gordon and Faulk this week.[smiley=nervous.gif] Martz admitted that Marshall was not ready last week and would be more careful with him for the remainder of the season. Couple that with playing Arizona at home and I would not be surprised to see Gordon get the bulk, if not all the carries. The Rams have been eliminated from the playoffs and gain nothing by having Faulk run around on a bad ankle.[smiley=shootmyself.gif] I'd start Gordon. My second back would be Johnson. I've watched a number of Bears games this season hoping the A-Train would put up big numbers and I can't tell you how many times I said, "Yes, finally a decent run for Thomas!" The problem was it was Johnson![smiley=doh.gif] Playing at home against the Jets will be much easier then at Miami and his numbers should improve.[smiley=yes.gif] Good luck. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

That Faulk/Gordon play is risky to start with, and possibly getting riskier. If Faulk does not even practice today, he did not on Thursday, then Walker's suggestion of Gordon & Leon is best.

But man-o-man, IF Faulk see's any significant time...

Johnson against my J-E-T-S is a decent play.

I'd also lean towards Faulk...even though Martz's comments are concerning, he has much more potential to get in the zone than Gordon does...

I'll also agree with the last few posters and say Gordon and L. Johnson.  Faulk is pretty much out of the game this week (if not the rest of ST Louis' season), and Brown will have a tough time againt my Steelers.  Barlow is untriguing, but just back from an injury is a little of a risk, but then again with Hearst hurting too, who knows.  I'd play it safe and go with Gordon and Johnson.

Go with Gordon.  I think Faulk is toast for the rest of this season.  As for your #2, if you can still go out and get Zereoue, I would.  I think the Bus will continue to be slowed and Zereoue will get touches both on the ground and through the air.  Summary:  Gordon & Zereoue!

So far, so good... Johnson came through with a good game and scored his first TD of the season. How 'bout those Bears!

Let's hope Gordon comes through. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
