FourTwoOh [smiley=hippy.gif] , can we get you to chime in here?  I mean you are our "local correspondent/expert" for the Chiefs here on "the Gridiron"?  It would be great if you could give us the "minute-by-minute" on this issue! :)

trust me, you know everything I do. Priest won't talk. He sta at home all day on doctor's orders. Best news out of today is the backpeddaling already on the "similar to bo" talk. My take on it prior to tonights 10 pm local coverage, is there is a lot more reason for optimism than pessimism. I will keep ya posted, honest. I will. Really.  ;D

From the vermeil press conference which I'm watching right now.

Priest - nothing new yet
Morten Andersen was put on IR today.
Omar Easy takes over for T Rich at fb
Boerichter is "very sore" in the whole shoulder area - quest
Trent Green got three stiches in his thumb. Not expected to mis any practice or game time
Hall's ankle is sore so he's questionable

Q&A from the reporters up next

Okay. Very elusive answers. I just don't  sense any long term issues at all, but he indicated that we would, I believe he said, "most likely" know tomorrow.

Bottom line, make your moves as though he is out, but enjoy hoping against the odds that he plays rather than worrying he won't.   [smiley=yinandyang.gif]

Save the "negative waves, man" for important shit like Clinton Focking Portis putting you in 3 Superbowls while ripping your heart  out and stomping on it.

Been downhearted baby
Ever since the day we met
I been downhearted baby
Ever since the day we met
Our love is nothin' but the blues
Baby, how blue can you get?

My love is like a fire
Your love is like a cigarette
My love is like a fire
But baby yours is like a cigarette
I watch you step down on it baby and crush it
Tell me how, tell me how, how blue can you get?

You're evil when I'm with you
And you are jealous when we're apart
Yes, you're evil when I'm with you, baby
Lord have mercy, you are jealous when we're apart
How blue can you get...
And sit right here in my heart?

I gave you a brand-new Ford
But you said I'd like a Cadillac
I bought you a ten dollar dinner
You said Thanks for the snack
I let you live in my penthouse
You said it was just a shack
I gave you seven children
And now you wanna give 'em back

I've been downhearted baby
Ever since the day we met
Our love is nothin' but the blues
Baby how blue can you get?

One last thing that I think does lend itself to the optimist side, and I meant to post earlier, but there was word, and I'll see if a can find the reference, but I believe the injury itself did not happen on the long run play, but one or two before.

The one very last thing I omiited, is if you get a chance to see this game, enjoy watching Omar Easy. He's not worth a fantasy pick-up as there's no time for him to prove his worth, but the kid has looked good with the few opps he's gotten. He be Jamaican, mahn  [smiley=rasta.gif]

I'm moving forward as if Priest is out.  Even if he is cleared to play, it would be risky - especially in Fantasy Super Bowl week.  I have some capable backups, so hopefully I'll be OK.

Thanks for the info bud.

Just saw a Vermeil interview and Priest is all but out. Tissue damage and a deep bruise. No s[eculation on week 17, but said all three "experts who've viewed the mri see nothing serious.

Here's what KFFL has to say:

Chiefs | Holmes Definitely Out; Season may be Over - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
18:07 PT: Updating previous reports, Associated Press reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil said RB Priest Holmes (hip) definitely will not play in week sixteen and there’s a good chance his season is over. They’re terming him as doubtful for week seventeen but are going to hold off from putting him on injured reserve because specialists have agreed there’s a possibility he could return this year. Vermeil said they’re not going to fool around and bring him back before he’s ready. He added that there isn’t any serious damage and when Holmes is healthy again he’ll be able to play.

I am afraid to say I believe the Padre's done for this year, fellas!

That's too bad. I would have liked to see him break the TD record.

Here's to a great season! [smiley=alcoholic.gif] [smiley=bonghit.gif] [smiley=cheers.gif]

That other guy who currently holds the TD record is pretty good too.  I am happy to see him hold on to that record for a little while longer! [smiley=dancin.gif] [smiley=bow.gif] [smiley=dancin.gif]
