...get away from running George? He was looking like he would have had some success if they had just stuck with him. He is even a decent pass receiver. Granted, I like Holcombe and from the way I saw it Eddie did fumble that reception that was called an incompletion, but Holcombe, overall, did not seem to be as effective as George. Was it the concussion? Has George really gone down hill that much? Has he somehow put himself in Fisher's doghouse? Ultimately, what is his future outlook... with the Titans... in the NFL? For that matter, what might Holcombe's be, particularly with the Titans? Inquiring minds want to know! Anybody have any thoughts?

George had a few nice runs here and there, though, he is useless when the Titans are playing from behind. George gets better and better the more carries he gets.

The Titans being behind needed a speed back, hence, Holcombe.

Now, some will look at the 4.5 YP/C of George and call me crazy for saying that.

Though, the same situation in Pittsburgh with Amos Zeroue and Jerome Bettis. Bettis is a great back when playing in a close game, or ahead. Both he and George are in-effective when playing from behind.

Eddie George's days are NOT numbered in Tennesse. Look for George to be a NICE sleeper next seson.

He might not have been 100% after getting his bell rung last week. Several times when the camera focused on him he looked like he was somewhere near the ozone layer. [smiley=bonghit.gif]

I live in Nashville. In fact, I work just a few blocks from the stadium.
I look out my office window at it everyday.
Let me say up front that, personally, I HATE Eddie George with a passion.
IN MY OPINION he's a prima donna.
And probably one of, if not THE, easiest RBs in the NFL to tackle.
A "pretty boy" with 0% body fat (here in Nashville, he's often referred to as the Ninja Turtle - think about it next time you see a pic of Eddie) that does not know the meaning of "reversing his field" or "2nd effort".
I've seen Eddie run up to the line and simply "fall down" too many times to believe anything else.
I've been saying this, to much criticism, since the Oilers/Titans came to town.
Local Nashville rumour has it that a lot of the Titan staff, maybe even Jeff Fisher, are starting to get the very same idea about Eddie.
If the hole's there - he's gone.
Need a tuff 3 yards for a 1st down? A TD? Forget it.
That's the story here in Nashville.
A lot of displeasure about George's work ethic and willingness to sacrifice his body come game time.
If they could get "The Moon" for him - a lot of people here feel the Titans would trade Eddie George.
