Just a little bit of news that may be lost under all this Superbowl talk going on.

Word is Steve Mariucci may be landing in MoTown!

Awesome post, KJ 76! [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I definitely think there is a correlation between Mariucci's availability and Mornhinweg's being let go.  This could up the fantasy stock of all Detroit players sooner rather than later! [smiley=lickinmychops.gif]

I'd agree.  Mooch has good enthusiasm and I hope he doesnt' make the same mistakes he made in SF.  When you've got a talented QB, you've got to let him lead and put the ball in his hand.

Here is the lowdown by way of "the Gridiron Newsstand":

Lack of honoring "equal opportunity" hiring practices aside ::) [smiley=pullleeeeeeeze.gif] , this is the first good move by Matt Millen and the Lions in a long time. [smiley=thumbsup.gif] Harrington & Co. should really benefit!

Defense may get some help as well, I guess.  Now with the hiring of Erickson by the 49ers, Defensive Coordinator Jim Mora, Jr. may make his wake to Detroit.  That's the latest word on the streets.  Both Detroit and Carolina are likely suitors for Mora's services.  I kind of have to scratch my head, though.  Wasn't defense the 49ers' problem?

Well, in light of the Barber and Mitchell defections, and Hugh Douglas not far behind...

I feel so much better knowing that Marty Mornhinweg is on the Eagles coaching staff.  The only thing that could make this better is if they manage to get Rich Kotite back too.

I am going to jump off the nearest bridge.  I just can't handle the Eagles blowing this off season so bad.

Hang tough 'ol partner. It's not making a whole lot of sense, but surely they got something up their sleeve.

The only thing they have up their sleeves are Rolexes - from all the money they are saving under the cap and bringing in from new personal seat licenses and increased ticket prices.
