Title: Free Agent Predictions
Post by DirkDiggler on Feb 27th, 2003, 6:24pm
Alright--

Let's see who the REAL Guru is around here.  Make your free agent predictions.  Predict where your top 4 Free Agents at QB, RB, and WR will end up signing.

Here are mine:

Jake  Plummer-----------Denver
Griese---------------------Chicago
Jeff Blake-----------------Arizona
Kordell Stewart---------Carolina

Emmitt Smith------Tampa Bay
Stephen Davis----New England
Stacey Mack-------Carolina
Orlandis Gary------Houston

Boston--------------Washington
Hilliard--------------Houston
Kevin Dyson-------Jacksonville
Ismail---------------Philadelphia
Price----------------Atlanta(technically not a free agent, but will probably be traded.)

Not a FA prediction, but:

Cincinnati trades their number one overall pick to Oakland, plus WR Peter Warrick for Charles Woodson and the 31 and 32 in round one. Cincy then selects DE Michael Haynes of Penn St., Kyle Boller, QB from Cal, and with the first pick in the second round, select DT Vince Wilfork of Oklahoma.

Just a dream....  ;)

Well, I am going to take a little bit of a different approach here.  I don't feel like playing predictoball [smiley=crystalball.gif] , so I am going to put where I would like to see these guys go rather than where I predict they will end up.  I am more curious to see if those yahoos are thinking like I am thinking rather than if I am thinking like they are.

QB Jake Plummer - Broncos
QB Brian Griese - Cowboys
QB Jeff Blake - Ravens
QB Kordell Stewart - Panthers
QB Jake Delhomme - Bears
QB Rob Johnson - Cardinals

RB Emmitt Smith - Buccaneers
RB Stephen Davis - Cowboys

WR David Boston - Falcons
WR Peerless Price - Bills
WR Curtis Conway - Dolphins
WR Marcus Robinson - Chargers
WR Terry Glenn (free-agent of sorts) - Redskins

If the guy is missing from the list, it probably means that I don't particularly "like" him to go anywhere specific, or at all.

Ill echo the Kordell Stewart doesn't get signed part.  The NFL is pretty anti-gay, and I don't think now that everyone knows Kordell isn't straight that many teams will want to deal with that in their locker room.  More importantly, he's never played well in a big game, and he's never played well for more than 8 games in a row. Only Eddie Kennison has managed to constantly find a job yet have no NFL success on his resume.

Sorry if this is too blunt for some of you, but it's the reality of the situation.

Don't worry KJ, I missed that closet-emergence too... this is the first I've heard it as well.

I have heard rumors about Stewart's being gay.  But, in any case, DirkDiggler, a personal friend, told me today on the phone that Stewart's gayness was what was at the center of the Michael Westbrook's jumping and beatin' the shit out of Stephen Davis during training camp a few years back.  Allegedly, Davis made a (mean) joke about Westbrook's being Stewart's butt-buddy. [smiley=moon.gif] How's that for "inside" information?  Straight from inside Kordell's bum!

Oh, and did I mention that when Dirk and I were speaking today we were speaking by way of the 1-900-GAY-GUYS chat line?
[smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=LMFAO.gif] [smiley=rollinwithlaughter.gif]

Kordell even joined in on our group party line!

Talk about "firsthand" information!

All but admitted to it.  It's pretty well known IMO.  Whenever he's been questioned about his sexuality he's always stated all that mattered was his performance on the field, and his personal life was none of their business.

I'll say this tho, the guy has the thickest skin in the NFL.  With what he's gone through in Pitt and in the Media, and to still be marginally sucessful is pretty impressive.  It's just my opinion that he's played at his top game despite that, which hasn't been enough.
