Title: Raiders and McGahee.... uh, or Fargas? Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 26th, 2003, 10:41am If the Raiders draft McGahee, as speculated by some, does that hurt Garner this year at all? I think this is a good situation for McGahee because he can rehab his knee that much longer, and can be brought along slower! Any thoughts? ??? |

Title: Re: Raiders and McGahee? Post by DirkDiggler on Apr 26th, 2003, 10:46am I do not think McGahee will fall to the Raiders... However, if he does, I don't think it would hurt Garner much. It is pretty well speculated he would not play until next year. Garner doesn't have much left in him anyway... age tends to do that to players. |

Title: Re: Raiders and McGahee? Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 26th, 2003, 10:49am I think the Texans want him bad! Think they trade down to get him? Possibly with the Eagles? I don't see him going to any teams much before that! |

Title: Re: Raiders and McGahee? Post by StegRock on Apr 26th, 2003, 12:31pm I'll give a detailed answer if in fact this is what happens. Until then, it's speculation on top of speculation. That's too much speculation for me to go "producin'!" ;) |

Title: Re: Raiders and McGahee? Post by Razzak on Apr 27th, 2003, 9:13pm My boy Fargas is on the Raidahs. This dude can run. I mean really really run. But.. I don't know if he'll see much time this next year, and I definitely don't know if he could stay healthy in the NFL. |

Title: Re: Raiders and McGahee? Post by Cirrinone on Apr 27th, 2003, 9:32pm Yeah didn't Fargas run a 4.28? That's .001 faster than Deion :-\ Good job Raiders... I'm sure they utilize him on special teams. |

Title: Re: Raiders and McGahee? Post by PA Outlaws on Apr 27th, 2003, 9:48pm Can Fargas catch the ball. Remember, the Raiders DO NOT run the ball. But with that kind of speed he could be dangerous out of the backfield! |

Title: Re: Raiders and McGahee? Post by StegRock on Apr 27th, 2003, 11:17pm I'll put it this way. If Fargas can stay healthy, and, granted, that is a BIG IF, he would be a quite suitable heir to the Oakland Raiders tailback throne. [smiley=king.gif] That having been said, if/when that reality comes to pass, the Raiders will probably be in a rebuilding mode, read shitty team. Nevertheless, he would be a nice late-second-to-fourth-round pick-up in deep keeper leagues. Uhhh, did I send mixed messages there just a bit or what? [smiley=lost.gif] ;D |

Don't really know. USC also had track stars Sultan McCullough and Malafeo (sp?) MacKenzie (Who was drafted fairly high for a utility guy). MacKenzie was very, very fast and could even split out as a wide receiver. This guy made a ton of big plays on 3rd and long. Long story shorter, Fargas didn't see many opportunities to show off his receiving skills. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out, but probably it's something he'll need to develop. |
