Title: Famous Amos Zereoue Post by Cirrinone on Apr 30th, 2003, 1:06pm What do you think of him this year fantasy-wise? Will he even start for the Steelers? I've heard Cowher likes Amos in the system better but I also heard Cowher talking about how well Bettis is doing in preseason workouts. I'm in a REALLY deep league (2 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 TE, 1 K, 2 DEF, and 3 ROVER EACH WEEK... in a SIXTEEN TEAM LEAGUE!!!... VERY difficult :() so is Amos worth anything for me? |

Title: Re: Famous Amos Zereoue Post by StegRock on Apr 30th, 2003, 1:39pm I would guess yes. I think he could end up a low #2 RB in a (generic) 16-team league, perhaps falling to a high back-up in your case. But, to give you a really substantive and more specific answer, I need to know more of the context. Are you talking about protecting him in a keeper league or drafting him? If the former, how many players can you keep? If the latter, what spot do you draft in? |

Title: Re: Famous Amos Zereoue Post by Jetdoc on Apr 30th, 2003, 1:40pm Amos is worth something in every league... I wouldn't want him as my #2 back, but in a flex system where you start seven RB/WR, he's definitely worth being your 5th starter. I expect a true RBBC in Pittsburgh this year, which means that Zereoue will get all of the midfield looks and Bettis will steal away goalline TD carries. But then again, that is speculation since NO ONE knows what is going on in Cowher's head. |

Title: Re: Famous Amos Zereoue Post by Cirrinone on Apr 30th, 2003, 1:43pm Steg--- I'm talking about drafting. It's my first year in this league, and I'm sorry.. but it seems like a WHACK league. Have any of you ever been in 16 team leagues where every starting RB, every QB, every #1 TE, every Defense was used each week? When there's byes, I don't know what will happen... :-\ But thanks for the advice so far... sounds like I'll pick up Zereoue. |

Title: Re: Famous Amos Zereoue Post by Keyshawn Johnson 76yards on Apr 30th, 2003, 4:14pm Amos is not worth drafting. Bettis has trimmed down atleast 25-30 lbs and is a totally changed back. He still has his strength, and has added speed to his game. Unless Bettis gets injured pre-your draft don't take a shot at Amos, or unless of course, there's no one else left at the end of the final rounds of the draft otherwise your better of taking a shot at Bettis then at Amos. |
