Title: Diamond in the Rough: Santana Moss Post by BarnabyWilde on Jun 3rd, 2003, 2:58am Here is a guy that intrigues me. Will he be the number 1 guy in New York, or will he be the number 2 behind Curtis Conway? I for one think he will step it up and put up some good numbers. I am thinking 1050 yards and 7 td's, plus 2 return td's... |

Title: Re: Player Discussion: Santana Moss Post by Cirrinone on Jun 3rd, 2003, 6:17am I think he's going to bust, for some reason. Not that he's a bad player, I think he's great. But I think Conway is the #1 there and surprise surprise, Chrebet comes back and has a spectacular year as the #2. Pennington has been staying after throwing passes to Conway and Chrebet, and no mention of Moss. I think he's a better asset on the return field more than anything. 690 yds, 4 TD's, 3 return TD's |

Title: Re: Player Discussion: Santana Moss Post by DOLFAN on Jun 3rd, 2003, 11:47am I think with Coles leaving they will change the offense a bit. They want Moss to be the guy to justify the trade of Coles, but i too think COnway will be the #1. Chrebet will be the #3, but prolly have #2 stats since he i sthe 3rd down and TD go to guy. I like Moss alos and he will need to do some return duties with the loss of Morton. I give him 750 yds, 4-5 tds and 2 return tds. If Conway gets hurt his value and #s will go up. I think everybody WANTS him to step up, but the reports are that he is just putting in time and doing nothing "special". Too bad, like i said we want him to step up. Maybe 1 more yr of learning will do it and he will be the guy next year. I hope so. I don't have him in any l;eagues, but have him as a late sleeper. Until i read something different he wont move up on my board. There are too may other guys...Marcus Robinson(IF)/doubtful, Streets, Lelie, both GB WRs, Josh Reed, Mcardell all i think could should get better #s. Just a thought and just my view. |

Title: Re: Diamond in the Rough: Santana Moss Post by Walker Boh on Jun 3rd, 2003, 8:19pm Conway should be the #1 guy, followed by Chrebet (who may not get a lot of yardage, but should post solid "#2" numbers in the TD category). Santana's numbers should definitly improve, but I'm not sold on him as my "#2" guy... not yet. I would rather take a chance on an ageing proven veteran then an unproven prospect. Of course, it all depends on the type of league you play in... |

Title: Re: Diamond in the Rough: Santana Moss Post by Philly on Jun 4th, 2003, 11:19pm Santana Moss will prove to be an above average special teams player (now that Chad Morton is gone) and a below average 3rd receiver. |

Title: Re: Diamond in the Rough: Santana Moss Post by StegRock on Jun 9th, 2003, 6:26pm Just wanted to link this relevant thread in with this one: http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=55;action=display;num=1052973771. There is quite a bit of discussion on Santana Moss on this other thread, including my [smiley=smileytrash.gif] in-depth take... for those interested. |
