Title: Diamond in the Rough: Josh Reed
Post by BarnabyWilde on Jun 4th, 2003, 4:22am
He takes over for Peerless Price as the number 2 in Buffalo. A very hyped player this off season because of that fact.

Could put up some decent numbers especially if he starts strong to take pressure off Moulds.

I think he can reach 1100 yards and 6-8 TDs

He isn't Peerless Price and won't put up Price numbers. HOWEVER, he plays in a pass-happy offense and showed a lot of promise last year. He won't post huge numbers RIGHT AWAY, as he'll be adjusting to the offense and the #2 spot still, but in a few years, this kid could be huge if Bledsoe is still throwing the way he did last year.

I stated in another post that he has great upsides and will prolly post 80% of what Price did last year. Thats 75 /1000/7 TDS. Not bad for a late round pick as a #3. I got him off waivers last year in week 15 or so. Looks like it might pay off.

Ain't got much time here today! :-[ Just gonna' quickly give you all the link to the thread DOLFAN is referring to:

http://www.fantasyfootballer.com/cgi-bin/theGridiron/YaBB.cgi?board=55;action=display;num=1054409019.

DOLFAN's more thorough take as well as my take on his take [smiley=lost.gif] ;) can be found there!  But, by all means, continue discussion here!  J. R. fits the premise of these "Diamond's in the Rough" theme threads to a tee! [smiley=yinandyang.gif]

As I stated earlier in the Moss thread, I would rather take a chance on a veteran having a "comeback" season , then go with an "up and coming" prospect. I guess I'd rather lose with a player I know... ;) However, with Bledsoe at QB, Reed will certainly get a great chance to show his stuff, and I expect him to have a respectable season.
