Title: Diamond in the Rough: Justin McCareins Post by BarnabyWilde on Jun 10th, 2003, 12:07am With Kevin Dyson gone, the number 2 wideout slot is open in Tennessee.SOme feel Drew Bennett will start the season as the second receiver. Others think rookie Tyrone Calico will win the job. But others feel it is only a matter of time until McCareins makes a significant contribution. He's big, at 6 ft 2, 205 and runs well. |

Title: Re: Diamond in the Rough: Justin McCareins Post by Philly on Jun 10th, 2003, 8:37am I think McCareins will probably fall to #4 before the season is complete. Bennett seems to have impressed the coaches a bit more with his ability to catch anything thrown at him, plus he is no slouch on size himself. Calico has thoroughly impressed the Titans DBs and with all his ability, it will be hard to keep him off the field. I think he will emerge as the #3 and maybe even the #2 before the season ends. |

Title: Re: Diamond in the Rough: Justin McCareins Post by DOLFAN on Jun 10th, 2003, 11:17am I don't know what will happen in TENN. I too don't think McCariens will be above #4 ..unless someone gets hurt. Calico is impressing, but doesn't know the system yet. I think Bennett will start at #2 and end with better #s before all is said and done from the deep ball. |

I believe McCariens will get the #3 slot behind Drew Bennett. Calico is a rookie and he is being WAY over hyped in my opinion. He hasn't proved anything yet. Remember Freddie Mitchell and all the other receiving busts. Knowing the system gives McCariens a huge advantage. |
