Title: WR Help Please! Post by Tony_O on Sep 4th, 2003, 4:24am I can start three of the following Wide Receivers! Your vast Fantasy Football knowledge would be appreciated! Koren Robinson vs. N.O. Jerry Porter vs. Tenn Laveranues Coles vs. NYJ Chris Chambers vs. Hou Ike Hillard vs. STL I was leaning to K-Rob, Porter and Coles...........But Ike vs. the rookie CB's and one old CB playing safety and what most likely will be a shot out against the rams. |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by Walker Boh on Sep 4th, 2003, 7:59am Robinson and Coles get "the nod" [smiley=yes.gif], but I'm having a tough time with #3, [smiley=frustrated.gif] [smiley=uh.gif] (in a good way). I think all 3 of them have a chance for a big game... say 75+ yards and a TD. What I normally do in these situations is go with my gut feeling and this time it's telling me... [smiley=crystalball.gif] Porter. Good luck. |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by BarnabyWilde on Sep 4th, 2003, 9:13am I agree with Walker, Coles and K-Rob are no brainers. I think Ike will have a big game this week. Not sold on Chambers yet, and Porter has a feud going with Lance Shulters of the Titans, so he may go off, or may get shut down. I like Ike!! |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by Philly on Sep 4th, 2003, 11:37am Chambers may look like the easy choice against a weak Texans defense, but Ricky Williams will be the focus this week. Porter faces a pretty tough defense in Tennesee and has to fight for the ball on his own team. So I agree with the others on this one. |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by StegRock on Sep 4th, 2003, 2:26pm For your #1 and #2, I am with everybody else. However, for your #3 I would go with Chambers and I am putting my [smiley=money.gif] where my [smiley=soapboxer.gif] is as I am going with Chambers as my #3 this week (in the GBRFL over Muhammad and Boerigter, who I think are similar options to the ones you presented). |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by bgsgfan on Sep 4th, 2003, 4:13pm I am going with Chambers this week also, in the GBRFL2; but that is only because Bryant is injure and I am worried he will play just enough to get stats. I am with the majority: you have to start Robinson and Coles, and I'd take Hilliard by a nose over Porter and Chambers. |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by Noey21 on Sep 4th, 2003, 8:37pm [smiley=alcoholic.gif] As a Do;phin fan I would bench Chambers for two reasons. 1. See Ricky run right and see Ricky run left. 2. With the big lead they will have (hopefully) they won't pass much. Make a third reason. 3. Why risk an injury to Fiedler if they have the lead with Griese already being hurt. I agree with BarnabyWilde go with Porter. |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by Callie on Sep 6th, 2003, 6:45pm If you haven't already played Coles, go with Robinson. They play a Saints D with a shaky D line and problems (speed) in the secondary. Also, for GOD'S SAKE he's getting the ball from Hasselbeck!! I WISH I had Robinson!! |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by StegRock on Sep 6th, 2003, 8:03pm Callie, Callie, in imparting us with your knowledge make sure you've got the question right. ;) Tony O's question was really what three receivers should he use or, more exactly, what receiver should he use for his third receiver. Robinson and Coles were the ones he was leaning toward as his #1 and #2. He was stuck on who to play as his #3, Jerry Porter (gee, any bias there ;) ), Chris Chambers or Ike Hilliard. That's the real question here. So,... [smiley=bow.gif] |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by Callie on Sep 6th, 2003, 8:47pm My deepest apologies. I won't entertain company during serious fantasy football issues ever again. PS-I'm no expert, I just do research. As for Chambers vs Hilliard: Chambers plays the Texans' D: Texans' D is decent against the run. The pass??? Who knows. They won't contain Ricky and I don't know if Chambers will be a factor. The question is if he'll get the ball, not the Texans. Also, early season Miami at home. Hilliard plays the Rams' D: The Rams' D has problems against the pass rush and has a "questionable" secondary. (Holes - and LB problems, too). I love the Giants this year. Possible big-time contenders. Some pick them for the Superbowl. Could be. Chambers is capable. The Texans "need work." Hilliard is getting more love from the Giants. The Rams' D could put up points that the Giants have to answer. If it were my team, I'd go with Hilliard. The Dolfins have a situation where they don't have to risk Chambers. Hilliard has something to prove at home. |

Title: Re: WR Help Please! Post by Callie on Sep 6th, 2003, 9:03pm By the way-Gannon has a lot of targets. Of course I love the Raiders. For on the field. Porter will have to share. |
