Thought I'd knock this out real quick before I head to Reno for the weekend.

Giants vs Redskins
Skins by 3 1/2
Washington Offense ranked 3rd
Washington Defense ranked 2nd

New York Offense ranked 15th
New York Defense ranked 27th

Giants looking for some revenge this week, but won't get it if their offense line improves. Luke Pettigout should be back, which should help.

Collins: 290 yards, 3 tds, 1 int

Barber: 80 yards rushing, 35 yards receiving

Toomer: 105 yards receiving, 1 td
Hilliard 90 yards receiving, 1 td
Shockey 60 yards receiving, 1 td

Bryant: 2/2 fg, 3/3 xp

Final score: Redskins 31, Giants 27

Pretty close on that analysis. Hilliard and Toomer both had nice days and Collins did well. Unfortunately the wrong team won the coin flip in OT. :'(

Thanks. I would have thought that with the Giants already having a division loss that you'd be pulling for the Skins to lose this one. ???

I was pulling for the Skins because I believe the Giants are still a better team than the Skins. I'm not overly concerned about who has what record this early in the season. I'm rooting against the teams I think will still be around come the end of the season.

Bottom line though is...We have to control our own destiny anyway. Wonder whats been going on in Philly this past week(?) Is there a solution?

My thinking was that Washington snuck by the Jets and the Falcons (two weak, non-division teams) in weeks 1 and 2, so I don't see them being a powerhouse to worry about. I think they're more of a spoiler. The Giants, once they start playing well, will be contending for the division title, so I would prefer to see them lose as much as possible.

Nothing good going on in Philly this past week. Donovan McNabb fled the city for his home in Arizona. Freddie Mitchell starting ripping the fans and the media. Bobby Taylor ripped the team because he received word that he will not be offered a new contract before his runs out.
