Title: Is David boston A fantacy starter now? Post by steelkings on Sep 30th, 2003, 9:38am In a scoring only league, Will David Boston ever be worth starting. I can start : 2 RB's And 2 WR's I have Boston,Plaxico Burress, Jimmy Smith, Peter Warrick. Burress is an obvious starter. What about Jimmy Smith. He's the no#1 in jaxinowhere now. What do I do after that seemingly sincere apology by Boston? Will he remove the nipple rings and become a football hero? Or is he one more roid injection from having a owens/ roid rage melt down? Will it be Shottenhiemer or Ericcson that becomes the first head coach to be killed by a player? I need answers to these questions now! THROW ME THE &%&&%%$#@ DAMB BALL. I"M FU#@ING OPEN OVER HERE! CANT YOU FU@!%$#ING SEE!........Sorry to much Kool Aid |

Title: Re: Is David boston A fantacy starter now? Post by Philly on Sep 30th, 2003, 9:50am I don't think Boston will do much even when he gets back. He has the ability, and the Chargers desperately need a go-to receiver, but I would be very wary of his durability and ability to stay in the good graces of Schottenheimer. Despite that, I'd hang onto him for now until we see if Jimmy Smith is a fantasy starter. You could try to trade him (there are still Boston lovers out there) although I imagine his trade value is very low right now. I'd give Boston a start this coming week. He is rested, his last game was a decent one yardage-wise, and he may be eager to show the Chargers that his signing wasn't a mistake. But if he can't get it done against the Jaguars, then he's in trouble. |

Title: Re: Is David boston A fantacy starter now? Post by Noey21 on Sep 30th, 2003, 10:42am Find the steroid (only a figure of speech) user in your league that feels the best physical speciman makes the best athlete and trade him while you can. This has been my soap box campaign all year and i am sticking to it. [smiley=firinback.gif] |

Title: Re: Is David boston A fantacy starter now? Post by DirkDiggler on Sep 30th, 2003, 11:20am I would not trade Boston. I think you will regret it. His value can not go any lower at this point in time, so why trade him? If you gave him away now, you would get nothing of significance back. However, his value can only go up. And if he starts to perform, why get rid of him? As a matter of fact, I recommend people try to get Boston on there rosters now. He comes cheap. |

You might be able to get him for a Kevin Johnson or some such player. I would try and acquire him as well. People are only valuing him as a fringe starter, and he's got so much more potential than that. I'd gladly give up a player that isn't too valuable to take a shot on Boston. |

Title: Re: Is David boston A fantacy starter now? Post by Noey21 on Sep 30th, 2003, 6:22pm I would trade him to the people that beleive he is still going to have a big year. I guess in my area people still see him as a stud. I see him as a risk. I would rather have J. Smith. He has more to prove. |
