Title: Value of Lamar Gordon?
Post by DOLFAN on Oct 4th, 2003, 10:43pm
Just curious what you guys think the value of this guy is long term?
I love Faulk, but he is wearing down. 5 knee OPS in last 4 yrs. Could Marshall retire at years end? or continue to play hindered for another 1.5 yrs? Just looking for thoughts/ideas.

Hard to say in a vacuum, so I'll put it in relative terms.  I would say, "relatively speaking", that his value is roughly that of Kevan Barlow's. [smiley=whatever.gif]

Very nice assesment.  Both Barlow and Gordon are replacing the GUY (so to speak).  I think it is almost a foregone conclusion that Hearst will be gone next year though.  So that may make Barlow a little more valuable for the future.
In the present I think Gordan is more valuable because we know Faulk is out 6 weeks.
So this may depend on if this is a keeper league or not.

I am sure the Rams will milk Faulk for all he is worth trying to return to glory.
