Title: Burress OR Chambers PART TWO
Post by bakes781 on Oct 7th, 2003, 9:36am
19 yards!  That's what Burress & Chambers each managed to get last Sunday.  Do you know how many points that earns me in my league?  A big FAT 0!  Choose One WR/TE to start alongside Torry Holt:

Burress at Den

Chambers at Jax

Shockey at NE

Porter at Cle

BTW, I am going up against the top team in my $$$ league.  I am clueless on who to start this week.

Well this is a toughy.

.  You figure the Steelers are going to have to pass it against the Broncos Defense since they are going to fall behind quickly.

BUT, JAX has a horrible secondary.  So Chambers should get big yards.

Answer........Chambers

I agree with DD on this one.  Chambers has the better matchup and should get his this week.  Besides, he had THREE catches for 19 yards where Burress only had ONE catch for his whopping 19 yards.  So it's obvious that Chambers is getting 3X the opportunities as Burress!   ::)

I've been sold on Chambers since last year. Start him.

I personally would even start Burress over Holt, though with the Pittsburgh team in total disarray at the moment, Holt is the safer pick.

I would go with Burress.  I think the Steelers will rebound and I expect to see a shootout at Denver while I think the Fins will play more conservativly and keep it on the ground against the Jags.

If you were a head coach and had the choice between running the ball with Rickey Williams or throwing it with Feidler, which would you choose? Additionally, if you were a head coach and you had the choice to run it with Bettis and Amos or throw it to Burress and Ward which would you choose?

Plus I think Burress is a better receiver than Chambers.

WR's are soooo hard to forecast. My vote goes to Buress simply because there is not a beter weapon on your FF Team then a quality WR playing from behind which I think Pitt will be doing and Miami will not be doing.

Another thing to keep in mind is the "due factor" which usually aplies to good players after a poor game or two (Burress) and RW.
I see the RW show against Jax and Pitt playing catch-up in Denver.
My only concern about Pitt is has the NFL figured out how to Defense TommyGun?

IMO you have three great options in Holt vs ATL (no-brainer), Burress vs Den (tough to run against so will have to pass) and Chambers vs Jax (See David Boston)

This is a case of what I believe is the biggest challenge in FF........MAXIMIZING ur lineup.

Look into your crystal ball and Good luck!

I like Buress over Chambers, but BARELY. The Steelers will have to throw the ball, and although Jacksonville's secondary is weak, Ricky will be running all over them.

Jax has given up 11 TDs to WRs.  While Denver has only given up 5.  Jax has been good against the RBs so far only 75 yds per game.  That was against guys like S Davis, James, Henry & LT.  Denver is about the same.  Any consideration for Shockey?  He seems to be heating up & the Pats have been giving up a lot of yards in the air.
