Rookie wide receiver Charles Rogers, the Lions' leading receiver after the first five games of the season, suffered a broken collar bone Tuesday and is expected to miss 4-6 games.

Rogers was injured during the first day of practice in the bye week, when coach Steve Mariucci was hoping some of his players would have a chance to get healthy.

The incident occurred when Rogers and cornerback Dre' Bly became entangled in a spirited one-on-one drill early in the 90-minute practice session. Rogers ran a sideline route on a pass thrown by backup quarterback Mike McMahon. Rogers went down and Bly came down on top of him.

Rogers was on his hands and knees on the field for several minutes, then walked to the locker room with trainer Al Bellamy, who diagnosed the injury and sent Rogers to Henry Ford Hospital for treatment.

Uhhhh, suggestion here to encourage further self-sufficiency...  Try going here...

On that page, in the upper left-hand area click "AFC East".  You will then see ALL the "local"/"underground" Bills links you will EVER need in the lower left-hand area.  You can then also utilize the "Big Media/General Sports News Sources" and "The REAL Feed" as well as the sports ticker to augment your search/diet. Thanks for the research DD.  That's big news.  Looks like he's out of the running for ROY.

Guys are dropping like flies. Who's next??? RWms? Priest? LT? Manning? Tons of injuries this year. That's the game boys. That's why we have roster depth.
