Title: Who'll emerge in NE as the top receiver? Post by captainpurple on Oct 9th, 2003, 6:09pm Will either Deion Branch or Troy Brown emerge this year for the Pats? Or will they just continue the torrid 45/ypg avg they have going? Or will BoSox win the series and everyone in Boston will be too drunk to care for the rest of the season? [smiley=ohshit.gif] |

Title: Re: Who'll emerge in NE as the top receiver? Post by Philly on Oct 9th, 2003, 9:32pm I think Troy Brown will still be their best receiver, but you're looking at 7 catches for 50 yards with no TDs more often than not. |

Title: Re: Who'll emerge in NE as the top receiver? Post by bakes781 on Oct 10th, 2003, 9:04am As a Pats fan, I know how badly we need a #1 WR. The rookie Bethel Johnson looks nice, but he's not built to handle a full time role. I can only hope we use our multiple picks to insure a TOP flight (6-4 220) WR like Roy Williams from Texas. |

Title: Re: Who'll emerge in NE as the top receiver? Post by DOLFAN on Oct 10th, 2003, 11:58am j/k, but he is the #2 guy there now. IN ARIZ way back when, he was their #1 WR ---99 catches one year |

Title: Re: Who'll emerge in NE as the top receiver? Post by BarnabyWilde on Oct 10th, 2003, 5:43pm It's WRBC in New England. I am afraid no one on their current roster is a number 1. Next year, if they can draft a Roy Williams or Rashan Woods from OK St., maybe... Troy Brown is as close as they have, but like Philly said, his YPC is dismal. |

Title: Re: Who'll emerge in NE as the top receiver? Post by StegRock on Oct 10th, 2003, 6:26pm The situation has been VERY well captured by Philly, bakes and BW. There is really little to add to their combined insight. |
