Title: Re: My team is in the dumper Post by Philly on Oct 13th, 2003, 3:29pm Is this a keeper league? If it's a redraft league you can't really fold, can you? Also, when you say it's a "strictly scoring" league, does that mean a TD-only league? Or a standard performance scoring league? I'm confused... |

Title: Re: My team is in the dumper Post by steelkings on Oct 14th, 2003, 7:23am When I say fold, I mean trade dudes. I can save players for three picks higher than drafted. IOW....Top three picks cant be saved. I drafted Jimmy smith in the 12th round. Ill give a 9th next year to keep him. Points only league.. NO yardage or performance bonases. OK.....now what do you think phillyman |

Title: Re: My team is in the dumper Post by Philly on Oct 14th, 2003, 10:05am I think you'll be OK at QB. Kitna should keep throwing TDs for you. They've got a decent passing game and frequently are playing from behind. Tommy Maddox has been awful lately (I know, I own him in my money league), but can't be as bad as he's looked. Plus his schedule gets easier in a few weeks (ARZ, SF, CLE, CIN, OAK, and NYJ and SD in fantasy playoff weeks). I also think you'll be OK with your receivers. Between Jimmy Smith, David Boston, and Plax, you should get some TDs (see above regarding Plax too). RB is a problem. Barber is a solid #2 for you, but don't count on him as a starter. The rest are wasting space for you. I might try trading Plaxico (to someone who thinks he will rebound) or Boston for another RB - maybe for a William Green, Corey Dillon, Edgerrin James, Charlie Garner, Marcel Shipp, Anthony Thomas, or Garrison Hearst (some of those names are reaches, but try anyway). |

Title: Re: My team is in the dumper Post by steelkings on Oct 14th, 2003, 12:44pm What are your thoughts [smiley=thinking.gif] on Ladell Betts now that Trung Canidate [smiley=downthetubes.gif] is banged up! I think I know what you think about Duce staley, but lets here it anyway. Thanks Todd [smiley=graduate.gif] |

Title: Re: My team is in the dumper Post by Philly on Oct 14th, 2003, 12:50pm I might not be the best person to ask about Betts. I saw him in the Eagles-Skins game, and he looked decent enough. I'd still be concerned about how many opportunities he'll get. Staley is deeply entrenched in a RBBC. Westbrook, who appears to be the #1 option, went out with a hip-pointer this past weekend, raising questions about his durability. Staley had 90+ yards of offense and 1 TD this weekend, so he's not being forgotten by the coach. I'd hang onto him as a backup unless someone is interested in trading for him. |
