Title: Last 2 starters?
Post by DC_Disaster on Oct 18th, 2003, 6:59pm
I'm having a hard time choosing and I need confirmation on my last 2 starters.  I can choose 2 of the following players; :'(

LaMont Jordon vs. HOU
M. Cloud vs MIAMI ( I don't think so )
Richie Anderson vs. DET
Tyrone Calico vs. CAR
Tai Streets vs TB ( I don't think so )

It looks ugly but I'm leaning towards L. Jordon and T. Calico. What is the best play here? [smiley=caughtonthecan.gif]

Of that group, this week I would take flyers on LaMont Jordan based on matchup and perhaps an increase in opportunity and Tai Streets.  The Tampa Bay secondary is a little beat up and quite exploitable right now, actually.  Much more so than their run defense, I think!  So, if San Fran is going to do anything, it is going to have to be through the air, and Tai Streets right now is putting up better numbers than Owens. [smiley=shrug.gif] Calico is a VERY risky play this week.  I discussed that on Tony_O's thread.  It's tough to play Cloud against Miami, though he would be my third choice of this group, and Richie Anderson [smiley=pullleeeeeeeze.gif] !  Playing him would be a REAL roll of the dice.  I would go with Jordan and Streets, all things considered. Jordan - Hou gives up TDs to RBs.

Cloud - A healthy Faulk will get the carries, if NE is wise.

Anderson - Parcells likes him, but they'll throw against the Lions secondary.

Streets - TB CB Kellly is a game time decision.  If he's out or hurt, that's very good for Streets.

I agree with Steg, Jordan and Streets.
