Title: Vikings - Bennett's return imminent Post by StegRock on Oct 22nd, 2003, 9:03pm He's definitely back on the mend! Here's what it says on "the Gridiron Newsstand": http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/sports/football/nfl/minnesota_vikings/7076798.htm. So, my fellow Gridironers, what does this do to the respective fantasy values of Moe Williams and Onterrio Smith? |

Title: Re: Vikings - Bennett's return imminent Post by captainpurple on Oct 22nd, 2003, 10:11pm Good news! There have been a 1/2 dozen plays minimum this year where Moe has broken into the secondary and been caught from behind. 80% of those Bennett would've take to the house. His return will really elevate the Viking running game. I don't think this really affects OSmith much. He'll still see the 4-5 rushes and 3-4 receptions. Moe is the one that gets relegated to goal-line situations. If you've been hanging on to OSmith waiting for him to break out, trade or drop him, cuz he isn't going to this year IMO. Moe is strictly a Goalline Vulture by Thanksgiving. GO VIKES! |

Title: Re: Vikings - Bennett's return imminent Post by Noey21 on Oct 23rd, 2003, 6:25pm Just to think with Bennett coming back from injury and his lack of al of game time.....is he getting through these holes to begin with? Just curious. |

Title: Re: Vikings - Bennett's return imminent Post by captainpurple on Oct 24th, 2003, 9:48am You mean will he see the holes and be able to react in time? Three weeks of practice and a couple games should get him back in shape enough to be effective. I'd say Week10@SD or Week11@OAK will be the breakout week for him. GO VIKES! |
