Title: New York Giants Week 8 Analysis Post by BarnabyWilde on Oct 25th, 2003, 7:56pm Have been very busy with life stuff, so here is the abridged version: Giants- O-Line not good. Kerry Collins on back all day. Long afternoon for him. Will need pain medication after game. Collins 200 yards, 1 td, 3 picks Barber banged up. MRI negative on leg. Still will start. Leven will see action like last week. Barber: 75 yards rushing, 20 yards receiving Levens: 55 yards rushing, 1 td 20 yards receiving Another long day for the trio of Toomer, Hilliard and Shockey due to O-line suffering. Will turn around alot this week to see Collins as part of the carpet. Toomer: 60 yds Hilliard 45 yards Shockey 55 yards, 1 td Final Score: Vikings 31, Giants 14 |

Title: Re: New York Giants Week 8 Analysis Post by Noey21 on Oct 26th, 2003, 11:02am Summary...........things not looking good for the greatest show on earth (as deemed in the preseason). I got rid of Toomer (via trade) in one league and still trying to make excuses in my other league to not use hime. Somehow he always finds his way back into my lineup. |

Title: Re: New York Giants Week 8 Analysis Post by BarnabyWilde on Oct 26th, 2003, 6:20pm Well, I am sure the performance by the Giants left captainpurple feeling blue. :'( They sure surprised me with how well the played offensively. |

Title: Re: New York Giants Week 8 Analysis Post by bakes781 on Oct 27th, 2003, 9:26am T O & I don't mean Terrell Owens. I mean turnovers. As in TOs were the name of the game. These 2 teams were at the opposite ends of the TO spectrum. The Vikings were at the top of the league while the NYG were at the bottom. Yet Culpepper throws his 1st & 2nd INTs of the season. That's your ballgame. You shouldn't feel too bad for Vikings fans, b/c they still belong to the easiest division in football. |

More red than blue! [smiley=fumin.gif] Giants offense played as I expected, using Tiki a lot to open up Hilliard and Shockey. I sure didn't expect the Vikings to come out so flat though. A couple costly drops, and the absence of a solid running game really cost them early. Still can't understand running OSmith at the start of the game when Moe Williams has been so successful. Vikes lost 2 drives early. Anyway, hope they get this behind them. Doubtful Giants will be in the playoff mix IMO, while the Packers are a big division game next week. GO VIKES! |
