Title: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 9
Post by StegRock on Nov 4th, 2003, 11:32am
Here is another one of our fun participatory threads here in "the Red Zone" (to go along with our "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week").  It is called "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week".  Here, you are to list your key player(s) for the week, the one or ones that were key to your victory(ies).  I really think we can have some fun with this! [smiley=dancin.gif] You can expect this to be up every Monday/Tuesday from here on out!

Money League:  Torry Holt has been off the hizzak the past month or so.  Even in the Rams' loss he finds the endzone and throws up a couple hundred receiving yards.  Honorable mention goes to Clinton Portis who had a decent game and brought me from behind on Monday night to seal another win for me.

GBRFL2:  Troy Hambrick found paydirt twice in an otherwise uninspired effort by my team.

KJ's Yahoo League:  Daunte Culpepper led the way as I got only my 3rd victory of the year.

CBFL:  Clinton Portis and Daunte Culpepper both performed pretty well.  I hope it was enough to keep me near the top.

Not sure if they won it for me yet but;

:D Peyton Manning - Another solid effort.
;D Tom Brady - Never know when he's going to show up but yowee. Great game.
;D Amani Toomer - Nice grabs this week.

Since I lost all my games this week, I really don't think anyone deserves credit.

However, I guess Torry Holt's solid performance AGAIN deserves mentioning.

$$$ league ~ yet another convincing win.  Now at 8-1 I'm dominating this league.  Torry Holt would the obvious choice, but I'm gonna go with Aaron Brooks.  Up against the "best D" in the NFL he posted good #s.  For whatever reason the Saints seem to own the Bucs.

yahoo league ~ I eeked out a victory. .23 was the microscopic difference from being 6-3 to 7-2 & still atop the league.  Most of the credit belongs to Dwight Freeney who had a monster of a game on Sunday.  5 tackles, 3 sacks & 2 forced fumbles.

Brad Johnson, Tim Rattay, Santana Moss and Mike Vanderjagt were all great for me... in a loss! [smiley=bawling.gif]

I'm in the same boat.  Lost by 3 damn points thanks to Faulk getting 3 rec. in the final drive, and Kanell throwing the only INT of the game with 34 secs to go.  5 points against me right there and a loss for me.

I guess Javon Walker and Daunte Culpepper were probably the best plays I had.

In my fun league Collins to Toomer was[smiley=money.gif].

In my other league in a loss Zach Thomas was the man 19 tackels (12-7).
