Title: My lineup/help Post by tubuku on Nov 7th, 2003, 2:12pm I am trying to get my team ready for the stretch run and the playoffs. I think I may need to pull off a trade of some kind to be in great contention. This is my roster: Duante Culpepper - Starter Hines Ward - Starter Tai Streets - Starter Travis Henry - Starter William Green - Starter TJ Duckett - Starter Michael Bennett Arlen Harris Randy McMichael Willis McGahee David Akers - Starter Carolina D - Starter In my league I there are 14 teams, so the talent is pretty spread out. I can start 1 QB, 2/3 RB's, and 2/3 receiver's or 2rec/1te plus defense and kicker. I would like to trade one of my rb's (Duckett, Green , or Bennett) and Streets for a top notch receiver. Who do you think I could get for these guys? |

Title: Re: My lineup/help Post by StegRock on Nov 7th, 2003, 2:20pm Well, I don't know the guys in your league, but of that group of running backs you say you want to move, I would try to move William Green. I have always been leary of him. My second choice to move would be T.J. Duckett, but if this is a keeper league, I must say that I like his upswing for next year. I would not move Michael Bennett. Right now, he's got A LOT of upswing both for the remainder of this season (and for next, again, if this is a keeper league). For Green and Streets, (with the guys in my league) you'd be lookin' at gettin' maybe a Domanick Davis, or maybe a Hines Ward or Joe Horn and a throw-in, maybe a Jerome Bettis if you were fortunate. But, if you got a dummy in your league who disproportionately really likes Green and/or Streets for some reason, the sky may be the limit. I would say that thinking about moving Green and Streets, generally speaking, is a good idea, though. Title: Re: My lineup/help Post by tubuku on Nov 7th, 2003, 2:34pm Thank you for your help. I should have mentioned that my league isn't a total keeper league. We can keep one person from the year before or throw them all back in. I may try to deal Green, Streets, and Arlen Harris to the guy that has Marshall faulk. This would give him insurance plus to starters in our league (he also has James Jackson). I am not for sure right off hand who he has at receiver, but I believe he has Amani Toomer and Marvin Harrison. Are Toomer or Harrison equal to what I would be giving up. Maybe I could trade Duckett, Streets, and Arlen Harris for James Jackson and Toomer? What do you think? |

Seems very reasonable and actually perhaps quite timely! |

Title: Re: My lineup/help Post by captainpurple on Nov 7th, 2003, 3:16pm Not really sure who you have on your waiver wire, but the group of RBs you're willing to trade won't get you near the "top-notch" you're looking for. Better to target a 2nd tier like Terry Glenn or Ike Hilliard. As Steg pointed out, tough to make a call on this w/o seeing a specific trade. Good Luck! |
