Title: Big Decision Post by Tmoney300zx on Nov 10th, 2003, 4:23am Hey guys. Its been a while, I was gone on a school trip and had little access to the internet. Anyways, I have a big decision to make for tomorrows game.... Eagles vs. Packers. Me and the guy I am against this week are tied right now, and we each have one player who is playing in the game. I have TE: LJ Smith He has K: David Akers. Scoring is 1 pt per 10 yards of rushing/receiving and 6 pts for a TD. Field Goals: 0-19 Yards (3 pts), 20-29 Yards (3), 30-39 Yards (3), 40-49 Yards (4), 50+ Yards (5), pat (1). I am a little unsure if I am going to pull this one out, Smith hasnt been too consistent. But he seems to be McNabbs fav target. I could pick up Bubba Franks and start him, but I dont know if that would help. So, I guess my question would be: LJ Smith or Bubba Franks? Do you think I will win this one? [smiley=fingerscrossed.gif] |

Title: Re: Big Decision Post by Philly on Nov 10th, 2003, 8:27am If you think LJ Smith has been inconsistent, then what is Bubba Franks? LJ Smith is improving every week. It's not that he's been inconsistent, it's the fact that he is a rookie who is being slowly implemented into the game plan. I'm not sure he'll go for 97 yards like he did last week, but he could get some more red zone looks. Bubba Franks has been a huge disappointment this year. I'd stick with LJ for tonight's game, although Akers may outscore both LJ and Bubba. |

I personally would go out and get Bubba Franks and use him over L.J. Smith. [smiley=shrug.gif] That having been said, I agree with the quote above 100%. ... Remember, too, that other guy advising you here is a "Philly" homer. ;) |

...a Philly homer who is predicting an Eagles loss tonight... Nevertheless, I believe that LJ Smith's role in the Eagle offense is growing. He caught 6 balls for 97 yards last week. Plus the Pack gives up an average of 41 receiving yards to TEs each week, while the Eagles only give up 27 a week to the position. Only three teams give up less TE yards than the Eagles on a weekly basis. |
