Title: "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week" - Week 10
Post by StegRock on Nov 10th, 2003, 5:35pm
Here is another one of our fun participatory threads here in "the Red Zone" (to go along with our "Red Zone PRIMED Players for the Week").  It is called "Red Zone Fantasy MVP's of the Week".  Here, you are to list your key player(s) for the week, the one or ones that were key to your victory(ies).  I really think we can have some fun with this! [smiley=dancin.gif] You can expect this to be up every Monday/Tuesday from here on out!

Nice Johnson!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Gotta agree!!  NICE DAY!!!   He is mine too.

Honorable mention goes to Fred Taylor in the CBFL.

OH YEA!  Gimme two wins for the week, one over your "Rudi" there! ::)

Games balls:

[smiley=footballsmiley.gif]QB - Doug Flutie, pretty much almost single-handedly won me both games

[smiley=footballsmiley.gif]RB - Priest Holmes, those two touchdowns and 7 receptions for 66 yards were key

[smiley=footballsmiley.gif]RC - Santana Moss, brings a "Harrisonesque" game to the table, his TD receiving this week was just off the hizzle

I think I'll throw on the high-beams to screw with the guy keepin' the 1st place seat warm for me. [smiley=awwgee.gif]

Well the winning streak has come to an end in my yahoo league.  I am still alone in 1st place, but this league could not be any tighter.  I'm 7-3 & there are six teams tied at 6-4.  8 teams make the playoffs & with only 3 games left I have yet to clinch a spot.  My MVP in a losing effort:

Simeon Rice for breaking the record for consecutive sacks in a game with #69.

I was in a dog fight in my $$$ league.  My opponent had Priest & Culpepper, so needless to say I was not confident about my chances going into last Sunday.  Tomlinson was HUGE, however for the 1st time I will award my MVP to a kicker.  Jeff Wilkins put me in front with his 4 FGs in the 2nd half.  I've clinched a playoff spot & I've got a 3 game strangle hold on 1st place with 5 to go.

[smiley=money.gif] League... Trent Green came up big with 34 points, but I'll give the game ball to Warrick Dunn, who I grabbed off waivers to fill in for Portis on a bye.  I'm 8-2, four games up in my division, and have scored the most points in the league.  My main rival (who has 4 Packers on his team) lost, so it was a very good weekend for me.

KJ's Yahoo League... Culpepper and LT2 both put up 32 points in a tough loss.  I outscore all but two teams in the league, and one of them is my opponent.

GBRFL2... Moe Williams is the only one who showed up to play this week in what will probably be another losing effort.

CBFL... Not sure how I did, but had some nice efforts from Culpepper, Moe Williams, Rod Gardner, TJ Duckett, and Jason Hanson.
