Title: Fantasy dilemma: Rudi vs Dillon Post by Coachnorm on Nov 11th, 2003, 9:56am Who will get the carries in Cinncy is becoming a weekly question. I know we will probably find out more info later in the week. But for now we could speculate and later in the week update this thread with info as we discover it. With the great performance by Rudi this weekend does this. (A.) Make Dillon's groin become suddenly healthy or do you think that Dillon continues to want to wait till he he totally healthy. (B.) If Dillon does delcare himself 100% will he play? Does Lewis even care with Rudi doing this well and let him sit on his "tempermental" groin in favor of the very productive Rudi? I have Rudi but not Dillon so my judgement may be clouded but it seems to me between the Dillon distractions while the team is doing good and Rudi's success that it might just make Lewis inclined to give Dillon more rest for his groin then Dillon may need. If you know what I mean. ;) |

Title: Re: Fantasy dilemma: Rudi vs Dillon Post by captainpurple on Nov 11th, 2003, 9:58am I already jettisoned Dillon. I can't see Lewis putting up with Dillon's crap when he has a back performing better than Dillon has in 2 years. |

Title: Re: Fantasy dilemma: Rudi vs Dillon Post by CoachH on Nov 11th, 2003, 11:13am I imagine that Dillon's groin will continue to hurt for at least the rest of the season. ;D I can see him getting carries some, but with Rudi's success and promise I dont see Dillon outperforming him for the rest of the season. Dillon has set himself up to fail. The injury is a convenient out for him. |

Thanks for the reply, Coach H. Good point, the injury is a good out for Dillon if he wants to continue to be a jerk. The injury is also convenient for Coach Lewis if he wants to keep Dillon out. |

Title: Re: Fantasy dilemma: Rudi vs Dillon Post by Coachnorm on Nov 11th, 2003, 3:03pm very interesting. http://www.ffmastermind.com/bits/hot.shtml -- Dillon Nowhere to be Seen -- from FFMastermind.com The Cincinnati Enquirer reports Bengals RB Corey Dillon was not on the sidelines Sunday with the team's other de-activated players and was believed to not have come to the stadium at all. |

It has Marvin Lewis defending Dillon and saying his absence was excused. So glad Lewis could make the picture so clear!! |

Title: Re: Fantasy dilemma: Rudi vs Dillon Post by Callie on Nov 11th, 2003, 6:04pm As of today, Tuesday, the Bengals are expected to list Dillon as questionable this week. I'm guessing that the good citizens of Cincy would like to find ways to reinjure his groin (sorry, forgot I'm just a girl ;)). But Dillon is also planning to audition for the rest of the NFL at some point. That said...I also jettisoned Dillon a week or so ago. And I grabbed up Rudi in all four of my leagues before anyone else could get him. Rest of season is KC at home, at SD, at Pit, at Bal, SF at home, at Stl, Cle at home. If they go to committee, I won't be surprised. But I would still prefer to trust Rudi over Corey in my own leagues. |
