Title: Which RB would you want?

Which RB would you want for the rest of this year?
Rudi Johhnson or Micheal Benett.  I have Bennett but I can trade him to get Rudi.

Get Rudi.  Get him quickly.  Bennett will not be starting until the target date of December 7th.  Plus, Moe will continue to take goal line carries.

Dillon has managed to dig himself a hole he can't get out of.

I TOTALLY agree with DD.  Grab Rudi!  I doubt he'll have any competition from Dillon unless he falls flat on his face (which I doubt).  Although Bennett's carries will increase, Williams will get the goal line carries and may steal some playing time on passing downs.

Speaking as someone who has invested in it, grab Rudi.  I grabbed both of them in all leagues (except one in which I couldn't get Bennett) before anyone else could.  If I had to save one and lose the other, I'd save Rudi.  I'm playing Rudi this week, and Bennett is on the bench until I decide otherwise.

Quote:
DILLON EYES NEXT WEEK, BUT: Before Thursdays practice, running back Corey Dillon thought he was a longshot to play Sunday against the Chiefs and a lock to play the next week in San Diego as his injured groin improves. Now after an encouraging practice, Dillon thinks theres a better chance than that and hell go into Sundays game-time decision at 50-50.

-Real good. Much better. I did everything they wanted me to- said Dillon, who indicated the injury is more serious than a strain.

If there is any doubt Dillon is trying to get back in time for the playoff push, note what happened Wednesday. Dillon, who hates needles, took one four or five times to drain fluid that had had congealed into what he called the size of a grapefruit. Then he was back out Thursday morning trying cuts in the walk-through and didnt feel any pain.

But Dillon is trying to be careful after coming back too soon against Baltimore and Arizona, although he is upset at what perceives as media slams against his toughness and talent  -I feel like concrete right now and I feel like a flock of pigeons flew over it and dropped a couple of loads even though he is hurt.

Dillon went out of his way Thursday to praise his backup, Rudi Johnson, and said hes excited about getting back in the middle of his first playoff run and supports his teammates. He also said he worked out his absence from Sundays game with head coach Marvin Lewis, hes not ready for a second-best role, and when he returns he plans, -to start wrecking the league just to let them know Im still here.-

He also plans to be on the sidelines Sunday in uniform or not.

-Im happy for Rudi. Im happy hes getting the spotlight. Hes done great job- Dillon said. -Rudis my guy. Hes a great back and he deserves it.-

-Im saying, theres not any doubt. Im (boxing champion) Roy Jones. Im not dodging anybody when healthy. All Im saying is when Im healthy, pound-for-pound, Im the Roy Jones of the industry. Im the best in the game. Check the books,- Dillon said.  -Ive got some of the top games in the history of the National Football League.-

He also said his relationship with Lewis is more open than with anybody in the organization and is much better than the media portrays it.

-Hes looking out for my best interests. Hes trying to get me healthy,- Dillon said.

I'll play Devil's advocate.  This is exactly the way Lewis works.  He makes his point loud, and it's felt.  I would think that Dillon is back on board, and that Lewis did what he did for the future.  I would say Dillon will be back in the fold.

Well, I was l set to make the trade when the commish said  the trade deadline was Nov. 8th not this weekend.  This nullifid a trade(I got TO and Bennett) had last weekend and put the breaks on the Rudi trade this week.  It really screwed me up.  The commish lost out on a trade as well.

Now I have to play with my lineup from 2 weeks ago  and I have questions(with Harrison out).

1pt/10yds rush, 1pt/20yds rec., 1pt/catch,6pt/TD and bonus-length of TD

S. Davis, Duce McAllister, Derrick Mason =  starters
Pick 3 remaining starters

Pittman vs GB, Wheatley vs DET
Calico vs JAX, Streets vs PIT, Toomer vs PHIL
Warrick vs KC or D. Graham vs DAL

SORRY for the long post and Thanks

I think I'd take Graham, Warrick and Pittman.

Graham is NE's mosts consistent target and is playing well.  Matchup vs DAL leaves a little to be desired, but it's at home.

Warrick will be in a slugfest and CIN will be passing to keep up.

Last one is a close call between Pittman and Toomer, but I've got a feeling Pittman has a big one coming this week.

The one thing you have to look at is there schedules down the road around playoff time.(assuming you make the playoffs) Rudi has a harder(against the run)schedule.

Rudi
week 14 Cincinnati at Baltimore
week 15 San Francisco at Cincinnati
week 16 Cincinnati at St. Louis
week 17 Cleveland at Cincinnati
Bennett
week 14 Seattle at Minnesota
week 15 Minnesota at Chicago
week 16 Kansas City at Minnesota
week 17 Minnesota at Arizona

On the other hand...Minnesota's poor D might make them work more on the pass to get the points if they have to play catch up.  And Bennett is more likely to go RBBC.

A good schedule is part of the mix.  But Rudi is going to need to get the ball more as a go-to.

Another thought.  If the Vikings clinch early, they could protect Bennett for play-off time.

Cincy is in a dog fight with the Ravens for the division.
